Blendi Fevziu
Blendi Fevziu is an Albanian journalist, writer, and television host, best known for his long-running political talk show Opinion, which premiered on August 31, 1997. Over the decades, Fevziu has established himself as a leading figure in Albanian media, with a career spanning both television and print journalism. He graduated from the University of Tirana with a degree in literature and the Albanian language in 1991.
Fevziu was actively involved in the student movement that led to the fall of the communist regime in Albania during the early 1990s. He co-founded Rilindja Demokratike ("Democratic Rebirth"), the first free newspaper in post-communist Albania, on January 5, 1991.
On television, his show Opinion has evolved into a highly respected platform for political and social discourse, airing multiple times a week and featuring prominent Albanian and international figures.
As an author, Fevziu has written extensively on Albanian history and politics. His biography of former dictator Enver Hoxha, Enver Hoxha: The Iron Fist of Albania, was published in English in 2016 and received critical acclaim. He has also written several other notable books, including Ahmet Zogu, the President Who Became King and The History of the Albanian Press, 1848-2005.
