After taking the 2025 Spring Festival box office by storm and smashing a long list of records, “Ne Zha 2” has been progressively released in select theaters across the world. And as it turns out, the super-charged animated blockbuster, also known as “Nezha: The Demon Child Churns the Sea”, offers plenty of action, beautiful scenery, laugh-out-loud humor, drama, and heartwarming emotions around themes of family, friendship, and self-determination.

Ne Zha 2, China’s animated mega-blockbuster, is getting another, and very special, way to excite fans and the entertainment industry. The Beijing International Film Festival has unveiled that an exhibition featuring 150 posters for the movie hand-painted by director Yang Yu, who goes by the name Jiaozi, will take place during its 15th edition, which runs April 18-26.

In North America, Ne Zha 2 opened on Feb. 14 and has performed far better than most Chinese commercial blockbusters do in the West.
The Beijing festival will “promote the milestone breakthrough” for Chinese animated movies as the film’s “box office miracle continues,” organizers said. “The Beijing International Film Festival has always been committed to...
