Internet sensation MatPat hosted the 2023 Streamy Awards on Sunday, August 27 from the Fairmont Century Plaza, where winners were honored across a whopping 45 races. Every year, these kudos celebrate the best of online content creators and brands in categories such as Creator of the Year, Show of the Year and Streamer of the Year. The Streamys were first doled out 14 years ago in 2009 and are produced annually by Dick Clark Productions. This year’s nominations were led by YouTuber MrBeast with a leading five bids. His nine fellow nominees in the Creator of the Year category were Airrack, Alix Earle, Charli D’Amelio, Jay Shetty, JiDion, Logan Paul, Mikayla Nogueira, Ryan Trahan and Zach King.

The 2023 Streamy Awards take place on Sunday, August 27 at the Fairmont Century Plaza but, as always, you can watch the ceremony from the comfort of your couch. Internet sensation MatPat hosts the 13th annual event, and he promises to “put [his] own twist on things this time.”

If you’re wondering how to watch the 2023 Streamy Awards, you’ve come to the right place. On Sunday evening, simply click this link at 6:00 p.m. Pt/9:00 p.m. Et when the ceremony begins. The live show is scheduled to run for two hours. This year marks a move to summer for the Streamys, which have taken place in December since 2019.

On July 24 the Streamy Awards announced their 13th annual nominations honoring the best achievements by online content creators and brands. YouTube, as part of promoting subscriptions to the newly secured NFL Sunday Ticket games package, is flying more than a dozen top creators to Kansas City, Mo., for the 2023 NFL Draft – including popular trick-shot specialists Dude Perfect.

Dude Perfect, the five-member comedy and sports group with more than 59 million YouTube subscribers, and Ryan Trahan (12.3 million subscribers) are slated to appear on stage at the NFL Draft to announce some of the picks in this year’s draft. The 2023 NFL Draft, to be held April 27-29 at Union Station Kansas City, will be broadcast on ESPN, ABC and NFL Network.

All told, the YouTube creators tapped to attend the NFL Draft have a combined reach of more 145 million subscribers, according to the video platform. MrBeast, Mark Rober, Dream, Charli D’Amelio and crossover stars Dwayne “The Rock” Johnson, Gordon Ramsay and Lili Reinhart are among the nominees revealed Thursday for the 2022 Streamy Awards, which honor the year’s best in online video.

Winners will be announced December 4 in a ceremony at the Beverly Hilton that will feature Airrack as Mc. The show, produced by dick clark productions and Tubefilter, will stream live on YouTube.

MrBeast leads all nominees with seven mentions, and will be going for his third consecutive Creator of the Year award, the show’s marquee honor. Other nominees in the category are Addison Rae, Airrack, Blogilates, Charli D’Amelio, Dream, JiDion, Logan Paul, Mark Rober and MrBallen.

MrBeast, the massively popular YouTube creator who is reportedly approaching investors for a fundraising round that values his media empire at 1.5 billion, topped the list of nominees for the 2022 YouTube Streamy Awards for the second year in a row.

The creator, whose real name is Jimmy Donaldson, received a total of seven nominations, including in the creator of the year, collaboration and creator product categories. He is followed by fellow YouTube creator Mark Rober, who received a total of six nominations for this year’s Streamy Awards and will compete with returning winner MrBeast in the creator of the year category.

Exclusive: De’Adre Aziza (She’s Gotta Have It) is the latest addition to the cast of MGM’s boxing drama Flint Strong, marking the feature directorial debut of Oscar-nominated Dp Rachel Morrison. She joins an ensemble led by Ryan Destiny, which also includes Oluniké Adeliyi and Brian Tyree Henry, as previously announced.

The film based on Zackary Canepari and Drea Cooper’s 2015 documentary, T-Rex, tells the true story of Claressa “T-rex” Shields (Destiny), a 17-year-old Flint, Michigan native whose dreams of becoming the first woman in history to win an Olympic gold medal in boxing came to fruition at the 2012 Summer Olympics in London. Aziza is playing Mickey—the wife of Henry’s Jason Crutchfield, who coaches Shields.

MGM is serving as the film’s producer, as well as its distributor. Oscar winner Barry Jenkins adapted the screenplay and is also producing, with Canepari, Cooper, Lyn Lucibello and Sue Jaye Johnson serving as executive producers.

YouTube is teaming up again with Viacom-owned VidCon for a splashy evening event spotlighting music and homegrown creators at the online-video confab’s flagship U.S. event next month.

Recording artist and Edm DJ Marshmello, whose hits “Alone” and “Silence” have over 1 billion YouTube views, will headline the YouTube OnStage event and perform several of his fan favorites. Marshmello has over 14 million subscribers and 2.4 billion views to date on his three-year-old YouTube channel.

YouTube OnStage also will feature appearances by top creators, including Liza Koshy — who will appear alongside the cast of her YouTube original series “Liza on Demand” — along with Collins Key, Merrick Hanna, Kyle Hanagami and others.

The event will be held Thursday, June 21, at The Arena at the Anaheim Convention Center in Anaheim, Calif., and will be open to all VidCon attendees through a ticket-lottery system.

Tuesday saw some of the toughest competition between America's Got Talent performers, who were all vying for the last seven spots in the final week of the Judge Cuts round.

From singing groups to daredevils to mind-blowing magicians, every act that hit the stage knew what was on the line and brought everything they had to impress the judges -- but despite an onslaught of stunning displays of skill, the panel still had to make their cuts.
