Henry Hopkin Brown

Born 1992 and brought up as a Farmer's son cut off in the Countryside, Henry Hopkin Brown couldn't foster a passion for Potatoes and instead kept himself occupied doodling and animating stop-motion cartoons. It wasn't long till that pencil was upgraded to a camera and Henry was shooting his first car chase scene in nearby fields. His hobby didn't help with his grades though, flunking A-Levels in an attempt to be a Vet like his Welsh Grandad. His next 'logical' step was to try and open a Bacon Butty Van, knowing he could get free Potatoes for the chips. His Father, less enamored with this plan and more frustrated with the wasted expenses of his Son's education, pushed Henry into Art school, desperate for some kind of result. Henry went to Shrewsbury College for Art and Technology (A college with a distaste in its own unintentionally crude acronym) and finally a foster for filmmaking grew to the level of obsession; so weird were the Avant-Garde shorts Henry produced his tutors chose his work to represent the college in the National exhibition in London (Which Henry went to, then avoided his own exhibition, embarrassed). Henry moved away from the Countryside, next enrolling at the University of Wolverhampton to study Video and Film Production where he "had a good time" but mostly was self-taught (turns out the real Film School is at Youtube, kids). While pleased to escape the confining isolation of Rural Shropshire, he never felt truly natural anywhere else. As of 2018, Henry has been in production Directing his Low-budget Feature Debut: 'The Man in the Mask', a film partly shot back on his old family Farm, which has finally allowed him to grow the appreciation for Potatoes his Dad always wanted.
