He grew up in Sweden. He was born in Shiraz, Iran. He and his family were refugees migrating to Sweden in 1988 during the Iran and Iraq war.

Speaks Farsi, Swedish, Norwegian, English, Dari, fundamentals in French, Spanish and Danish.

Before getting into singing, he originally took on the career of a basketball player as he accomplished receiving 2 Most Valuable Player Awards as the best player in Jönköping during the 1995/1996 and 1996/1997 season and 1 Most Valuable Player Award as the best player of Southern Sweden during the Swedish Championship Basketball Competition in 1997/1998 season.

He is a Music Therapist, working with special needs kids as well as individuals with disabilities. To help improve their quality of lives through music therapy and creative arts.

He took on the acting career after going through a tough period car accident, betrayals and challenges. He used acting as therapy, to overcome the challenges. He went to auditions ending up getting featured big name commercial and TV roles such as: Disney, Ford, Samsung, Guitar Center, Clorox, El Vato, Los Defensores, as well as lead roles in films.

His breakthrough came when he participated on Sikta Mot Stjärnorna (Aiming at the Stars), a national talent show program televised on TV4 (Sweden) organized by FremantleMedia (American Idol). After two auditions where 3000 participated, he became one of the 45 to enter the show singing "Hero" (originally by Enrique Iglesias) live on national television, and winning the 2nd place award.

After getting into a car accident, he got diagnosed with depression as he suffered through his physical pain. He attended acting workshops as therapy. He came across the script of "Love is Blind", a man with a disability and out of 250, Arsi Nami got the lead role as Giovanni, as well as the composing the entire soundtrack. In 2017, the film won the Jury Prize at 2017 Cannes International Film Festival Entr'2 Marches as well as Official Selection at the 2017 WE Care Film Festival in India and 2017 Hollywood Screening Festival Finalist.
