After earning a Public Health degree and a minor in Chemistry, Richa worked for several years as a Research Study Assistant at Memorial Sloan-Kettering Cancer Center (MSKCC) in New York City on the landmark, national, multi-institutional Childhood Cancer Survivor Study / Long Term Follow Up Study funded by a grant from the National Cancer Institute of the National Institutes of Health, now coordinated through St. Jude Children's Research Hospital, under study principal investigators/steering committee members from both MSKCC and University of Minnesota.
