Katherine Elisabeth Clark (writer/director) is a filmmaker who resides in Philadelphia, PA.
Her short film Beta Persei was awarded the Directorial Discovery Award at the Flickers' Rhode Island International Film Festival, Best Sci-Fi/Horror Short at Jim Thorpe Independent Film Festival, and nominated Best Short at Toronto's Female Eye Film Festival. Katherine has also participated in Creative Lab Hawaii's Writer's Immersive Lab, a year-long development and mentorship program, with her feature screenplay Pololia.
Katherine is active in the Philadelphia region as an arts supporter and promoter. She is the co-founder of PopUp Anthology, a Trenton, NJ-based organization dedicated to supporting the voices of local, independent filmmakers. In addition to her work to support local filmmakers with PopUp Anthology, she has twice served as a judge at the Westfield International Film Festival, and has led panels on Social Issue Filmmaking at Trenton Film Festival.
Since 2017, she has worked with Theatre Philadelphia, a marketing and leadership organization supporting theatre across the Philadelphia region. With Theatre Philadelphia, she organizes the annual Philly Theatre Week, highlighting over 80 theatre companies and artists and 250 performances in a 10-day period, as well as the Barrymore Awards for Excellence in Theatre Ceremony and Celebration, re-granting over $100,000 to individual artists and companies.
Katherine earned her M.F.A. in Film Directing from Columbia College Chicago, and her B.A. from UNC Asheville.
She completed her short film Ways to Look at the Moon in November 2018.
