Matt Kay is an Emmy-nominated filmmaker based in London, known for his compelling, character-driven documentaries. His work spans a diverse range of subjects, from the world's first black scuba diver to a death row inmate and he has collaborated with high-profile talents such as the music group TLC and F1 legend Lewis Hamilton. Matt's films have won numerous awards, screened at over 50 major Oscar and BAFTA film festivals and amassed millions of views worldwide.
Matt's first feature film Over The Wall and his Netflix short Little Miss Sumo have influenced legislation and are utilized globally as educational tools. His 2022 Hulu feature documentary To Live and Die in Alabama earned him a Documentary Emmy nomination. His most recent feature film TLC Forever, which chronicles America's most successful female music group, aired on A&E to an audience of several million and is currently streaming on Netflix.
