Born in Winnipeg, Manitoba, Karen Tusa is an award-winning actress and producer with a dynamic career spanning film, television, and commercial production. She is an Active National Member of the Television Academy under the Producers Peer Group (The Emmys), a full member of the Directors Guild of Canada (DGC) as a Location Scout and Location Manager, and a Professional Member of the Location Managers Guild International (LMGI). Karen proudly serves on the LMGI Awards Committee for features and television content and is also a member of ACTRA.
Her expertise and industry insight have led her to serve on numerous juries and screening committees, including as a Blue Ribbon Judge for both the Children's & Family Emmys and the Daytime Emmys. She is also the Marketing Director of the Winnipeg Real to Reel Film Festival, where she supports emerging filmmakers and promotes community engagement through storytelling.
