With his lithe, tattoo-covered body, the scowling skinhead makes for an imposing figure, and Polly doesn’t seem thrilled about being in his presence. From creator Mara Brock Akil, the series is a reimagining of Judy Blume’s influential and controversial 1975 novel of the same name. The series explores an epic love story of two black teens discovering their identities through the awkward journey of being each other’s firsts.

Past projects include the lead role in Sanaa Lathan’s feature for Paramount Pictures, On The Come Up which had its world premiere at the 2022 Toronto Film Festival. Additionally, he starred Odessa A’zion, Dermot Mulroney and Leslie Bibb in the horror feature, The Inhabitant.
