Carmela performed and sang at Her Majesty Queen Elizabeth II private birthday celebrations at Windsor Castle in 2007. She was a member of both the National Youth Music Theatre and the National Youth Theatre of Great Britain.

In 2008 Carmela recorded two singles in Pete Townsend's Richmond recording studio after he saw her in a gig playing with the guitarist Damien Nolan.

Daughter of art gallerist Cynthia Corbett based in London.
