Corey Pinchoff is a screenwriter and director currently based in Los Angeles. As a summa cum laude graduate of Columbia College Chicago, she was one of eight students selected to complete a capstone directing course - writing and directing the short film LIV'S UNNECESSARY WILL. Prior to graduating from the acclaimed American Film Institute Conservatory, she spent over three years as a casting assistant under the mentorship of Carmen Cuba. Corey worked on high profile films such as Jordan Peele's Nope, Ron Howard's HILLBILLY ELEGY, and Steven Soderbergh's KIMI.
Her thesis film, DANDELION, advanced to the Semifinalist round of the ScreenCraft Short Film Screenplay Competition. DANDELION is currently on the festival circuit, playing esteemed events such as the Florida Film Festival, Inside Out Toronto, Palm Springs International Short Film Festival, and Spokane International Film Festival - where it won both the Grand Jury and the Audience Award for Best Short. Most recently, Corey co-wrote THE STAND, for the fifth season of the Hillman Grad Rising Voices program. It will premiere at the Tribeca Film Festival later this year. As a queer filmmaker, Corey hopes to represent her community with pride, humor, and care.
