- His real name is Tenondé from the language Guaraní that was spoken by the now extinct aboriginals - The Charrúas. The name means "Van-guardian" or "The one that leads". His second name is Gabriel, a name given to him in honor of the Inca ancestor and revolutionary José Gabriel Condorcanqui Noguera, also known as Túpac Amaru II who died in may 18th, 1781. Teno shares this with the late rapper Túpac Amaru Shakur also known as 2pac who is also named after the same revolutionary.
- When he was born, his father was a political prisoner in Uruguay. He escaped in one of history's largest escapes where 111 prisoners escaped from Punta Carretas Prison in Montevideo, Uruguay. Amongst them was the actual (2012) president of Uruguay, José Mujica. Oliver Stone optioned the rights of the book written about this escape.
- Is an avid scuba diver holding one of the highest instructor certifications within PADI as an IDC Staff Instructor.
- Was a breakdance and electric boogie instructor in the 80's.
- Born in Montevideo, Uruguay and raised by his maternal grandparents to the age of 6 when his grandmother took him to his parents in Sweden where he has lived ever since.
- Is fluent in Spanish, English and Swedish.
