Lifetime: Television for (Christian) Women.
The female-focused cable channel has a new Saturday-night movies slate “centered on women facing unfathomable circumstances who use their faith to lead them through,” according to Lifetime. The four films on tap will star Chrissy Metz (This Is Us), Alexa PenaVega (Spy Kids), Kat Graham (The Vampire Diaries) and Paula Patton (Precious), respectively.
Faith in the Flames: The Nichole Jolly Story (July 19) is based on the true story of the devastating 2018 fire that ripped through Paradise, California; it stars Metz in the title role of hero nurse Jolly.
The following week (July 26) is PenaVega’s turn in Before Your Father Finds Us, the story of a woman who “must draw on her faith to hide her and her teen daughter from her violent ex-husband.” It’s a very Lifetime scenario.
On August 2, Graham’s adaptation of Terri Blackstock’s Christian suspense book Terri Blackstock’s If I Run premieres.

It was merely two years ago that Hallmark fans everywhere discovered the true magic of Christmas when three Hallmark Hunks tapped into their brotherhood for Three Wise Men and a Baby.
A play on Three Men and a Baby, Paul Campbell & Kimberley Sustad created a fun, family Christmas movie starring Campell, Tyler Hynes, and Andrew Walker and brought the theatrical film’s Margaret Colin along for the ride.
The result was pure joy, with a story packed with holiday sentiment, family frustrations, and great love.
Campbell & Sustad and Russell Hainline write the script for the sequel, Three Wiser Men and a Boy, and all four cast members mentioned above are on board, as well.
It’s an early Christmas gift for us all!
What does it mean to be a Hallmark hunk, anyway?
It’s not about looks, although it sure helps that this talented trio is easy on the eyes.

Having breathed a collective sigh of relief, Canadian film and TV players are ready for action as American production is set to return north of the border after SAG-AFTRA reached a tentative deal with the Alliance of Motion Picture and Television Producers.
But just how soon Hollywood gets back to Canada, and how, has dominated conversations in key production hubs like Vancouver and Toronto after U.S. actors and the major studios and streamers agreed terms for a new contract.
The Canadian sector knows it won’t be as easy as turning the lights back on, as the major studios still have headwinds and roadblocks coming out of the dual strikes, including cost pressures as their streaming platforms claw their way to profitability.
“We need to temper our expectations. We’re all excited everybody’s getting back to work,” said Noel Phillips, general manager of Dufferin Gate Studios in Toronto,...
