The second and final season of The Sandman is set to premiere this coming Thursday, and Netflix has released a first clip featuring a scene from the wedding of Dream's son, Orpheus, and his bride Eurydice.

In the clip, we see members of the Endless family wish their nephew and his new wife well... in their own unique ways. Destiny does not approach the couple, however, as he already knows what fate awaits them.

On the heels of the full trailer for the second and final season of The Sandman, Netflix has released a new social media teaser spotlighting the seven members of the Endless family: Dream, Death, Destiny, Despair, Desire, Delirium and Destruction.

We met most of these characters in season 1, but the season 2 premiere will feature the debuts of Esme Creed-Miles as the unpredictable Delirium, Adrian Lester as the all-knowing Destiny, and Barry Sloane as Destruction, who grows weary of his responsibilities and abandons his post.

This final storyline begins with the Endless meeting for a family gathering for the first time in many years, with a seemingly throwaway insult from Desire setting Morpheus on a path back to Hell.

The second and final season of The Sandman will premiere on Netflix next month, and while I'm a little bummed that the show won't adapt the full depth and breadth of the comic book, it looks like we're in for a good time.

And the show will adapt some of the most famous stories from the comic, including "A Midsummer Night's Dream," where we get a completely different perspective on Shakespeare's famous play. Jack Gleeson, whom Game of Thrones fans will remember as the detestable King Joffrey, will play the mischievous spirit Puck. We'll also get a story where various figures of myth and legend come to the Dreaming, where our main character Dream (Tom Sturridge) holds dominion, to try and convince Dream to give them dominion over Hell, which Dream gains in another story we don't have time to get into here. Game of Thrones alum Jack Gleeson will soon be back on the small screen. He is playing Puck in the second season of The Sandman, which is due to premiere on Netflix on July 3.

Per SFX Magazine, a new image was released of The Sandman Season 2 featuring Gleeson's Puck alongside Freddie Fox's Loki. The photo showcases a better look at the Gleeson's Puck after a first-look image previously provided a more limited sneak peek, showcasing him from the shoulders up. Whether this villain will be seen by fans as despicable as Gleeson's Game of Thrones character remains to be seen, though showrunner Allan Heinberg has said how he wrote the role of Puck specifically for the Joffrey actor.

Netflix released a full trailer for the second and final season of The Sandman yesterday, and the streamer has now shared some new promo stills spotlighting several of the characters we'll meet over the course of the season, along with a few familiar faces.

The images feature Morpheus (Tom Sturridge) reuniting with his former lover Nada (Umulisa Gahiga), who he condemned to Hell when she refused to be his queen; Dream's son Orpheus (Ruairi O'Connor); Fiddler’s Green (Stephen Fry) and Lucienne (Vivienne Acheampong); Freddie Fox as an even more conniving and ruthless take on Loki than the McU's version, and Jenna Coleman as the returning Lady Johanna Constantine.

Whether Johanna's modern-day counterpart will drop by remains to be seen. John Constantine only made a single appearance in the comics, but with this being the last season, we have a feeling a few creative liberties might be taken.

The latest trailer for the second and final season of Netflix’s comic book adaptation teases Dream’s (Tom Sturridge) mission to Hell and the many roadblocks he’s preparing to face.

“Lord Morpheus comes to us in a futile attempt to free one he loves from our domain,” Gwendoline Christie’s Lucifer warns. “Hell is awaiting his visit most avidly.”

A number of shots showing off the continued beauty the first season flash by. Shots of burning Hell pits, dragons, monsters and more can all be seen in the latest trailer. There is also a tease to deeper troubles for The Endless – anthropomorphic embodiments of certain basic aspects of existence.

“When one of The Endless changes, that changes everything,” Fiddler’s Green (Stephen Fry) warns.

"We often laugh actually, while we're doing it. We crack up and then and do retakes," he tells Gold Derby. "It's been an extraordinary show to work on, not only because the material is very good and obviously the character is just a dream. But it's been really made all the more special because of the people working on the show. And that is really across the board from makeup, costume, Dp, camera operator, clapper loader, although they're not really clapper loaders anymore," he says. "I love regrouping after a break and then getting back and seeing everyone. The set is very easy to work on in that respect. Just an incredible bunch of people and that really has made it, I think, one of the highlights of my career.

The Sandman fans got the bad news that one of their favorite shows would not be renewed after a second season long ago. The series was popular, so that wasn't the issue. The problem might stem from the artistic differences between Netflix and show creator Neil Gaiman.

The accusations of assault and abuse against him, which he has denied, might have also come into play, but we likely will never know. What we do know is that the second season of The Sandman will be its last.

The last season will be split into two parts, which has become a common practice at Netflix that is being followed by Wednesday, Squid Game, and Stranger Things, and the first part will arrive on July 3. The second part will drop on July 24. The good news is that there will be a bonus episode that will arrive on July 31.

Netflix recently unveiled the first trailer and release dates for The Sandman season 2, which will be split into two parts. The 6-episode Volume 1 premieres on July 3, and the 5-episode Volume 2 arrives on July 24.

Now, the streamer has officially revealed the titles for each episode, and this final season will include a bonus instalment based on Death: The High Cost of Living.

This spin-off tale was hinted at in a deleted scene from the first season, when Death tells her little brother Morpheus that she used to take human form once every century in an attempt to remain grounded and in touch with humanity.

In the episode, "The Sound of Her Wings," Death reveals that she used to be a lot more, well, grim about her reaping, but an encounter with her human counterpart gave way to her far sunnier disposition.

Netflix has also shared new stills for each of the 12 episodes.

Surprise! In announcing titles for the 11 episodes from the second and final season of The Sandman, the Netflix fantasy series revealed a bonus standalone episode. It will be released after the previously set drops of Volume 1 (Episodes 1-6) on July 3 and Volume 2 (Episodes 7-11) on July 24.

Episode 11 will still serve as a series finale, bringing Dream’s (Tom Sturridge) story to conclusion. The bonus episode, which will debut a week later, on July 31, follows his sibling Death (Kirby Howell-Baptiste).

It is unclear whether it had been crafted with a potential spinoff in mind or just as an extra for fans following the pattern of Season 1, which also had a bonus episode.

Despite finding himself in the middle of the "Doctor Who" take on what the Eurovision song contest looks like in 2925, the Fifteenth Doctor (Ncuti Gatwa) isn't a particularly happy camper in "The Interstellar Song Contest." Much of this is because Freddie Fox's Hellion terrorist Kid invades the control room mid-party and quite literally empties the space station arena by opening the roof. If sucking 100,000 effectively dead contestants and audience members into the "mavity" bubble (the show has really committed to the gravity name change bit from the "Doctor Who" 60th Anniversary Special "WIld Blue Yonder") surrounding the station is bad, though, Kid's intention to kill over three trillion home viewers is something else entirely.

From omnicidal extra-dimensional gods to some of the most chilling and realistic "Doctor Who" monsters out there, Ncuti Gatwa's 15th Doctor has found himself facing antagonists who either transcend mere everyday evil or embody the dark pettiness that lies in the hearts of people. In "The Interstellar Song Contest," the good Doctor has to face a bad guy who combines both traits: Hellion terrorist Kid (Freddie Fox), who invades the episode's galactic far-future Eurovision contest in order to get revenge on its sponsor -- a food company that has turned Kid's race into pariahs in order to harvest honey flavoring from their planet.

House of the Dragon star Fabien Frankel and brother Max Mark Frankel have launched film and TV production house MarcelMonique Pictures, The Hollywood Reporter can exclusively reveal.

Disney+'s Andor recurring co-star, Joplin Sibtain, who played Brasso, is taking a trip to Westeros in House of the Dragon. His character in the science fiction series, which is part of the Star Wars franchise, was Cassian Andor's co-worker and friend. After having a devastating role to play in a Season 2 episode, the actor is now joining the cast of George R. R. Martin and Ryan Condal's series.

According to Deadline, Sibtain recently snagged a role in Season 3 of House of the Dragon. He's among a few new cast additions to the fantasy drama, which debuted in 2022 on HBO. Sibtain will play Ser "Bold" Jon Roxton, and Tom Cullen will play Ser Luthor Largent. Meanwhile, Barry Sloane, who played Aiden Mathis in 43 episodes of ABC's Revenge, will play Ser Adrian Redfort.
