A multi-hyphenate filmmaker with mastery as a DP/camera operator, editor, and visual effects artist, Corey (Snyder) Beasley spent 20+ years working on television series, features, and commercials as either a cinematographer, compositor, motion graphic designer, or 3d artist. Corey now heads up his own production company Spark Pixel where his small and nimble team creates branded content and short films that use cinematic storytelling to spark connection and positive action.
Corey started his career in Texas in 1998 as an editor and later a motion graphics designer for high end production, visual effects, and animation companies including ReelFX. Corey then moved to New York in 2008 to pursue his career, where he vacillated between working as a visual effects artist and DP/camera operator. He spent his time in NY working at notable visual effects houses like Fuse, The Mill, Framestore, Mister X, Sibling Rivalry, Gentleman Scholar; as well as commercial agencies including Shilo, Gray, FCB, and Ogilvy. Corey worked as a motion graphics animator for commercials and a compositor for television series and films including Blacklist, Preacher, Mr. Robot, Luke Cage, Punisher, and The Tick. He was on-set VFX supervisor for Bull and Dick Wolf's television pilot FBI.
Corey also ran camera for commercial agencies such as The Mill, Digital Kitchen, and MTV Networks; and reality TV series including This Old House, Truck Stop Missouri, BallBoys, and Oddities.
Corey now resides in Pennsylvania, where he recently founded Filmmakers and Actors of Centre County. Corey spends his free time testing out new camera and post production techniques, making independent films. He enjoys making short live action films with a little visual effect magic with his wife and their awesome kid!
