Official Trailer for Low Budget Werewolf Horror Thriller 'Wolf Hollow'
Image
"We don't take too kindly to strangers around the Hollow, that's for sure..." Gravitas Ventures has released an official trailer for an indie horror thriller titled Wolf Hollow, a super low budget werewolf project from Texas-native filmmaker Mark Cantu. It's set to launch on VOD in August if anyone is interested in having some werewolf fun. Not to be confused with Jim Cummings' The Wolf of Snow Hollow. A group of young filmmakers, led by neophyte producer Alex Romero (Christina Krakowski), venture out on a location scout in rural Pennsylvania. Deep into the back country, it quickly becomes apparent they have stumbled onto a family of werewolves and must now try to survive the night. The horror stars Christina Krakowski, Noah Welter, Felissa Rose, Hannah Fierman, Lynn Lowry, Brian Ceponis, Jess Uhler, Kamarra Cole, Brandon Krum. Most of this looks like junk, until the man-in-suit werewolves show up and then hell yes.

‘Wolf Hollow’ Review
Image
Stars: Felissa Rose, Brian Ceponis, Daniel John Kearney, Christina Krakowski, Noah Welter, Jess Uhler, Lynn Lowry, Brandon Krum, Hans Hernke, Hannah Fierman | Written and Directed by Mark Cantu

After sitting through the less-than-satisfying Viking Wolf I wanted a lycanthropic film with a bit more bite to it. As it happened, I had the screener for the new film from writer/director Mark Cantu, Wolf Hollow waiting to be watched. Five minutes into it I’d already seen more gore than in the entire running time of A Norwegian Werewolf in High School as a drunken bonfire is invaded by a pack of werewolves.

A year later two things are happening. Evie and Bart Neuri are meeting with Mayor Schuzmarke about the absorption of Wolf Hollow by the adjacent town. An act caused in part by certain incidents on the Neuri’s property a year ago.

And in the hamlet of Wolf Hollow itself,...

La Hora del Espanto (1985)
Fright Night Gets Turned Into a Stage Play by Pittsburgh Theater Company
La Hora del Espanto (1985)
Who doesn't love Fright Night? It is one of the best vampire movies of the 80s, with perhaps only The Lost Boys and Near Dark standing in its way. Sure, the remake bordered on being blasphemous, but now that the late great Anton Yelchin is no longer with us, even that iteration gets respect in his memory. Now, fans of the horror comedy will get to see the story brought to life in a whole new way this October.

Pittsburgh's longest running fringe theater company The Rage of the Stage is bringing Tom Holland's classic to life, for real. And the creator of Fright Night couldn't be happier about the production. This show is being described as a "visceral one-of-a-kind horror stage production, which will rock your Halloween season!"

The Rage of the Stage are so bold as to already be calling this a historic piece of theater, and...
