Andrew Walkington is director of True Films, a UK production company
focused on the creation of Christian feature films. He is founder of
The Co-operative British Youth Film Academy, an educational advisor and
an award winning filmmaker from the Northwest of England. Andrew was
born in the northwest of England, his father died when he was six years
old and he then spent several years in children's homes. He then
returned to his family and lived with his mother and brothers in the
city of Chester. He study for a degree at the Liverpool Institute of
Higher Education and began his career as a theatre director in
Liverpool. He spent time as a school teacher and college lecturer
before established The Co-operative British Youth Film Academy. The
company gives youngsters across Britain their first experience of
professional filmmaking through the creation of professional standard
feature films. Andrew left BYFA and founded True Films in order to
create feature films that reflect his Christian values.
