Neil Sheehan, a Pulitzer Prize winner and the New York Times journalist who obtained the Pentagon Papers, has died.

His wife, Susan Sheehan, told The New York Times that he died Thursday due to complications of Parkinson’s disease at his Washington home. He was 84.

Born on Oct. 27, 1936 in Holyoke, Massachussetts, Sheehan graduated from Harvard and began his reporting career as an Army journalist. For The New York Times and United Press International, Sheehan chronicled the events of the Vietnam War.

Sheehan, however is most known for reporting on the Pentagon Papers, which revealed U.S. involvement in Vietnam ordered by the Department of Defense. Military analyst Daniel Ellsberg granted Sheehan access to the critical documents in 1971, which exposed the truth about American involvement in the war and set off legal retaliation from the Nixon Administration.

Iron Fist isn't the only Marvel series getting the axe. Deadline reports Netflix has cancelled Marvel's Luke Cage after two seasons.

Ikhile’s past credits include the critically-acclaimed “Black Mirror” episode “USS Callister” and the mini-series “Childhood’s End.” He has also appeared in films like “The Legend of Tarzan” and “In the Heart of the Sea.” He is repped by Thruline Entertainment and the Curtis Brown Group.

HBO will premiere the documentary “Stolen Daughters: Kidnapped by Boko Haram” in fall 2018. The documentary follows the stories of 276 Nigerian school girls who were kidnapped by Boko Haram, an Islamic extremist insurgent movement, in 2014 from a school in Chibok, Northern Nigeria and hidden in the Sambisa forest for three years. The announcement comes on Monday, the one-year anniversary of 82 of the girls’ releases.

Steven Spielberg’s excellent Pentagon Papers exposé thriller comes straight from the facts. If the project wasn’t begun in 2014 we’d think it was a direct response to today’s attacks on the news media. We’ll take it as that anyway. It’s a fine performing showcase for Meryl Streep and Tom Hanks, and the direction creates exciting drama without a single car chase, assassination attempt or superhero.

Netflix has been on a roll today with releasing trailers for their upcoming projects. Earlier the streaming service realized the official trailer for their remake of Lost in Space – now they have released a teaser for season two of Marvel’s Luke Cage which also reveals the premiere date.

To the tune of Eric B. & Rakim’s “I Ain’t No Joke”, Cage dares his foes to come after him, warning them that they can’t break him.

It's been a year since last we heard anything about Nick Gaglia's Altered States of Plaine, but he got in touch this week to provide us with a new exclusive clip and also let us know when and where the sci-fi tinged thriller will be having its world premiere.

Altered States of Plaine will have its debut in May at the 2012 Fantaspoa International Fantastic Film Festival, the biggest genre film festival in Latin America, attracting over 7,000 viewers each year.
