Jessica Renslow

A native of Gary Indiana, Jessica Renslow received a 2002 David Letterman Award for her original screenplay, "Stained Glass Graffiti." After graduating from Ball State University in 2003, with a BA in Japanese language/ culture and telecommunications production, she was chosen as a member of the Japanese Exchange Teaching Program where she stayed till 2006. From 2006-2015 she worked a variety of production gigs (everything from a human wrangler on The Price is Right to an anime translator). 2010 marked the worldwide premiere of her directorial debut at the Women in Arts Festival (Los Angeles). After passing the CTEL test she decided to pursue her MA in Education from California State University. Her graduate studies centered on instructional design, technology and leadership. She translated and adapted a feature length script entitled, "Spectacled Tiger." It placed first at the 2013 Sundance International Filmmaker Awards. Her work is an intersection documentary filmmaking, narrative stories and multimedia translating.
