Born in San Juan, Puerto Rico in 1973. González works as a writer for theatre, film, radio and television. He holds a PhD in Theatre and Performance from the School Theatre and Film in Arizona State University, and a Master in Playwriting from Columbia University in the City of New York. González teaches Creative Writing at the University of Puerto Rico. His theatrical plays have been presented in New York, Los Angeles, Havana, Buenos Aires and San Juan. González wrote the script for the film Maldeamores (2008), Puerto Rico's Official Submission to the Best Foreign Language Film Category of the Academy Awards. He has also developed more than five hundred original scripts for the Puerto Rican Commission for Public Broadcasting. In 2000, his play Vieques won the "NuestrasVoces" National Playwriting Contest in New York. In 2016, González received the recognition from the Pen Club Puerto Rico International for the publication of his play Los Coyotes. He is also a Musician and composer of punk rock band for kids Los Mocosos.
