Alyssa Marie Miller is an American actress. She was born and raised in Gilbert, Arizona, and is the daughter of Chris Miller, an engineer and lighting designer, and Michelle Miller, a counselor. Her ancestry is of Irish and German descent.
Alyssa started in the performing arts as a dancer at two years old, and at sixteen, was introduced to acting on stage for her annual dance recital. Piquing her interest, she signed with Southwest Model and Talent Agency in Phoenix, Arizona. The Agency invited her to compete at the International Model and Talent Association (IMTA) convention in 2018.
From IMTA, she was awarded a $20,000 scholarship to attend the New York Film Academy, given by David Vando, who represented the Academy. Continuing her training, she attended the New York Film Academy in Manhattan, New York from 2018 to 2020 where she studied Meisner, on-camera skills, behind-the-camera skills, and many other techniques.
Afterward, in her final year of study, she got to perform in her first play, Democracy Day 1, where she found her love for comedy and theater. Alyssa received the opportunity to work with critically acclaimed actor Matthew Modine, one-on-one in a master class during her study. At the end of her final year, she wrote and directed her first short film, "Quarantine Day 36". Throughout her time at the Academy, she was involved in multiple short film productions with the filmmakers at her school.
In 2021, she landed her first feature film role in, "Forgiven", and six months later landed her first lead role in the feature film, "Fathers", which are now both available on Amazon. Throughout the year she participated in a handful of music videos, commercials, and short films.
Alyssa kicked off her 2022 when she appeared in her first role in a local musical theater production, "Newsies" with Limelight. Later, she was able to use her American Sign Language knowledge when she co-starred in a couple of Dhar Mann videos ("Teen Makes Fun Of Deaf Kid In School" and "Deaf Girl Told She Can't Sing"). They are available on YouTube and Instagram and have totaled over 16 million views! Her latest feature film, "Wander, Woman" wrapped in early November and aims to do festival runs in 2023.
