Ben Buchanan(VIII)

Ben Buchanan was born in Michigan and has lived in both Michigan and Florida throughout his life. Currently, he resides in the sunshine state with his wife and kids. Before acting, Ben's pastimes included rugby, competing in Highland Games heavy athletics and running. Ben loves to stay active and in his spare time he teaches power yoga and body-weight conditioning classes. Ben's acting career began by chance in 2021, when he was asked to appear in an independent film as a Highland Games athlete. Ben was immediately drawn to the challenge and creativity of film acting.

Over the last few years, Ben has been a lead actor in a host of short films and one feature. He has been nominated for best actor four times and once for supporting actor at the Orlando Independent Filmmaker challenges. Ben won Best Actor in the Super Short category at one of the 2023 Alternative Film Festivals (Altff) for his work in The Release. His biggest project to date was the lead role in the independent feature film, The Checkup. Ben is comfortable with drama, action or comedy and he likes to portray relatable "everyman" characters that are faced with challenging situations.
