"Mr. Nelson - your music always made me move forward when I wanted to give up." Quiver Distr. has debuted the official US trailer for a funky German indie film titled Willie and Me, the feature directorial debut of German actress Eva Hassmann. It's written by, produced by, directed by, and stars Hassmann - clearly a personal passion project based on her own love for Willie Nelson and her culture shock of coming to America. Trapped in a stagnant marriage, German housewife Greta finds solace in Willie Nelson's music. When Nelson announces his farewell concert, she embarks on a journey to Las Vegas, leaving her husband behind, rediscovering her past.​ Hassmann plays Greta, with a fun supporting cast including Willie Nelson (of course!), Peter Bogdanovich, Darby Stanchfield, Blaine Gray, and Thure Riefenstein. Looks a bit rough around the edges, but that scrappy indie charm is what makes this so amusing.

German actress Eva Hassmann has crafted an engaging showcase for herself with her debut feature as a writer, producer, director and star. Serving as the opening night film of the Oldenburg International Film Festival, Willie and Me is the sort of ramshackle road movie they hardly make any more. Checking your credibility at the door is the best way to experience the film, which serves as Hassmann’s love letter to both Willie Nelson and herself (America, not so much), and features cameo turns by Nelson and the late Peter Bogdanovich in his last screen appearance.

Opening with a flashback set in 1993 depicting how, as a teenager, Greta coped with her troubled mother by listening to Willie’s music, the film flashes forward to the present, when she’s now married and desperate to attend Nelson’s farewell concert in Las Vegas (as if Willie’s ever going to stop). The Last Scout releases today. Part sci-fi and part horror, the film was directed by and stars Simon Phillips. In the film, humanity is on the brink, once again. This time, in the year 2065, survivors of a great war seek out habitable planets. But, they must compete with other survivors, in search of the same goal. Independent studio Epic Pictures has dropped the full official trailer and poster for The Last Scout and we have your exclusive first look at this suspense filled sci-fi thriller. The suspenseful film offers a chilling "what if" scenario when two superpowers, America vs China, go head-to-head in the race to find the next inhabitable planet. Epic announced the VOD and digital release of The Last Scout across the Us and Canada starting March 7th.

Set in 2065, with Earth destroyed by war, humanity's remaining survivors send a fleet of ships to the end of the galaxy in hope of finding a new world. After seven years of travel and long since out of communication, the crew of The Pegasus are nearing their destination when they encounter a derelict ship. So close to completing their mission with their sanity exhausted they soon realize they are not alone and must fight for the survival of the human race.

You've got to check out this trailer for an incredible looking film in development called The Last Scout. This is an independent film directed by Simon Phillips, and he made it on a shoestring budget. He is currently trying to raise funds through Indiegogo so that he can finish the VFX and other post-production work. The movie is a sci-fi space thriller, and from what I've seen in this trailer this looks like it could be an incredibly impressive movie for what they've had to work with to make it.

The story takes place in the year 2065, and earth has been destroyed after a nuclear war between the East and the West. It kind of has the same vibe as Christopher Nolan's Interstellar, as mankind is forced to leave earth to try and survive by finding a new home.

Runaway Features & Press On Features have wrapped on their latest feature in Los Angeles, a Sci-Fi Thriller titled The Last Scout . Paul Tanter penned the script, with Simon Phillips taking to the directors chair. The duo are the creative force behind the UK smash hit White Collar Hooligan and have branched into the Sci-Fi genre.

The film is a futuristic story of a crew of astronauts searching for a new home for humanity after Earth has been devastated by a nuclear war between the East and the West. A four week shoot has just wrapped at Hollywood’s Laurel Canyon stages, where the company built a complete spaceship.

I’ve said it before and I’ll say it again: Found footage flicks are a dime a dozen. And while I don’t dislike them on principle, I’m starting to realize that the bad certainly outweigh the good. I completely understand that this format is a cheap and easy way for filmmakers to get their foot in the proverbial door, but old-fashioned storytelling is always better than pretending your movie is a legitimate documentation of some sort of real-life horror. Evidence director Olatunde Osunsanmi has rounded out the cast for his indie thriller with Dale Dickey, Caitlin Stasey, Torrey DeVitto, Nolan Gerard Funk, Albert Kuo, and Harry Lennix.

Evidence will be based on a massacre outside Los Angeles. Detectives assigned to the case have to sift through evidence at the crime scene including the victims camcorder, flip cam, and two cell phones, who then have to analyze the minimal footage to piece together the identity of their killer.

"When I read Evidence I was very jealous I hadn't written it myself and I feel fortunate to be able to bring this incredibly unique story to life," Osunsanmi said.

No production date has been set.

Evidence comes to theaters in 2011 and stars Ryan McCoy, Brett Rosenberg, Abigail Richie, Ashley Bracken, Risdon Roberts, Keith Lewis, Blaine Gray, Andrew Varenhorst. The film is directed by Howie Askins.

Do you remember your first time camping? There's nothing like that first time, and in the upcoming "found footage" movie Evidence, Ryan is making a documentary to record his friend Brett's first camping experience. Of course all hell breaks loose (as you guessed) and the movie promises that “it’s not what you think".

All signs appear to point positively to the fact that this one isn't what you'd expect, including a comment from Uncle Creepy at DreadCentral.com, who said

"The horrors of Evidence are thrown at you relentlessly, full throttle, full frontal, with absolutely no holds barred until the very last frame of the incredible end credits sequence."
