Charisma Carpenter addressed fan speculation she would be returning to the queen bee character that first catapulted her to fame in the forthcoming reboot of Buffy the Vampire Slayer.
In a TikTok video posted today, the actress — who appeared as Cordelia Chase in both the mothership series and Angel spinoff — debunked any rumors she would be in the new show.
“Hey, I get asked this a lot: ‘Are you doing the reboot?’ And I thought I would address it,” she began in response to a comment. “I am not in the reboot. I am not in the pilot. I don’t even know if the show has been picked up to go to series. I assume it will be.”
Carpenter then addressed the launch of her new Buffy rewatch podcast titled The Bitch Is Back, the name of which she dispelled was associated with any kind of return to the Buffyverse.

With Ben Stiller at the helm and a boatload of Emmy nominations for its first season, you’d think the Severance team would be overwhelmed with actors coveting a role. You wouldn’t be wrong.
“Obviously we got a lot of calls about people wanting to be in the show,” the show’s casting director, Rachel Tenner, tells Gold Derby. But with those calls comes lots of polite passes. “Unfortunately it just doesn't creatively work.”
Tenner, who has teamed with Stiller for more than a decade, since pre-production on 2013’s The Secret Life of Walter Mitty (a project that featured future Severance actors Adam Scott and Ólafur Darri Ólafsson), is up for her second Emmy for casting the buzzy Apple TV+ series. She praises Stiller and show creator Dan Erickson as being “very collaborative.”

Almost seven years ago, it was announced that a reboot of Buffy the Vampire Slayer was in development with Monica Owusu-Breen, co-creator of the TV show Midnight, Texas, writing, executive producing, and serving as showrunner. It was said that the new show would be “contemporary, building on the mythology of the original.” That project never made it into production – and earlier this year, it was revealed that we’re going to be getting a Buffy the Vampire Slayer revival instead, with Sarah Michelle Gellar returning to the role of Buffy Summers and Chloé Zhao directing the first episode. Since then, teenage actress Ryan Kiera Armstrong (Firestarter) has been cast as a new slayer (an introverted high school student named Nova)… and now, filming is underway! With cameras rolling, Deadline has learned that Merrin Dungey (The Lincoln Lawyer), Audrey Hsieh (Found), and Audrey Grace Marshall (The Flight Attendant) have joined the cast.

The latest casting update on Buffy the Vampire Slayer's reboot marks a reunion for a horror sequel, in addition to casting three more. Hulu is moving fast with its pilot for a Buffy reboot, which was announced earlier this year. Oscar-winning Nomadland director Chloé Zhao is directing the project, with Nora and Lilla Zuckerman penning the script.
Sarah Michelle Gellar is set to reprise her seminal role as Buffy Summers in a recurring capacity, as the focus turns to the teenage slayer Nova (played by Star Wars: Skeleton Crew breakout Ryan Kiera Armstrong). The announced cast also includes Faly Rakotohavana, Ava Jean, Sarah Bock, Daniel Di Tomasso, Jack Cutmore-Scott, and Kingston Vernes.
Deadline reports that The Studio star Chase Sui Wonders has joined the Buffy pilot in a one-off guest role. Wonders has shared that she'll be playing a character named Shirley, who has been described as a vampire in some reports.

Something's stirring in New Sunnydale! With cameras beginning to roll on Chloé Zhao's Buffy The Vampire Slayer reboot for Disney+ over the past week, there's been no shortage of newsy tidbits — or Scoobie snacks, if you will — for fans to get hyped over, from on-set glimpses of Sarah Michelle Gellar's return to Smg and new chosen one Ryan Kiera Armstrong slaying together at the gym. Now, courtesy of Deadline, we've got a buzzy new casting announcement to share: The Studio star Chase Sui Wonders has joined the Buffy reboot pilot, teeing up a reunion with fellow I Know What You Did Last Summer alum Gellar.
According to Deadline, Wonders' role in Zhao's pilot is a one-off, guest starring slot as a vampire believed to be named Shirley. Speaking to the trade about helping bring Buffy back, Wonders was effusive in her praise for Sarah Michelle Gellar and...

Update: Chase Sui Wonders has confirmed to Deadline that she is joining the Buffy the Vampire Slayer reboot. “Sarah Michelle Geller is just such a force to be reckoned with,” Wonders said. “We became fast friends on I Know What You Did last Summer. She’s an incredible woman and just a cool person, and she asked me if I wanted to do it. Then she told me about Chloe Zhao directing and the Zuckermans showrunning. And then Eric Kissack, who is actually our editor on The Studio, is also editing the Buffy series.“

The Buffy the Vampire Slayer reboot, which reportedly has "New Sunnydale" as its working title, has started shooting in Los Angeles. With that comes what appears to be a first look at Star Wars: Skeleton Crew star Ryan Kiera Armstrong as the show's new lead slayer.
There have been some grumblings about the 15-year-old Armstrong being a little too young for this role, and she definitely looks like a high schooler here. However, it's worth noting that in the original series, Buffy Summers was also only meant to be 16, though Gellar was 20 at the time.
Sarah Michelle Gellar is reprising her role as Buffy in the series, which added Rakotohavana (Secret Society of Second Born Royals) as Hugo, Ava Jean (Law & Order: Svu) as Larkin, Sarah Bock (Severance) as Gracie, Daniel di Tomasso (Witches of East End) as Abe, and Jack Cutmore-Scott (Oppenheimer) as Mr. Burke earlier this week.

Sarah Michelle Gellar is already jumping into action with the new generation of vampire slayers as the upcoming Buffy series moves forward. Instead of a full reboot, this new show acts more like a sequel, following a fresh group of demon fighters led by Ryan Kiera Armstrong, known for her role in Star Wars: Skeleton Crew.
The new Buffy series hasn’t officially been picked up yet but has received a pilot order from Hulu. It’s set to be directed by Oscar winner Chloé Zhao. The story will focus on Armstrong’s character, tentatively named Nova, while Buffy Summers, Gellar’s iconic role, will serve as a mentor. This makes sense since at the end of the original Buffy series, season 7, many new slayers got their powers, opening the door for this new chapter.

But earlier this year, in one of those pinch-me moments I rarely get as an entertainment journalist, a new Buffy project re-emerged, this time as a sequel rather than a reboot.
And the biggest surprise?

The Buffy The Vampire Slayer reboot is moving forward and the new cast includes a familiar face for fans of Severance. More on the show below.
Whether or not we need it, the Buffy The Vampire Slayer reboot/sequel series is definitely on the way. Buffy herself, Sarah Michelle Gellar, recently shared a photo of a roundtable read of the new series, confirming that this isn’t just a dream. Our favourite Slayer really is returning to our screens.
The new series will star Ryan Kiera Armstrong as a new Slayer while Gellar is set to return as Buffy, presumably as a mentor of sorts for Armstrong’s character. Official plot details are still being kept secret but more cast members have joined the project.
As Variety details, Faly Rakotohavana, Ava Jean, Sarah Bock, Daniel di Tomasso, and Jack Cutmore-Scott have all joined the show. Bock will be a familiar...

The reboot of Buffy the Vampire Slayer seems to have rounded out its regular cast members, but the news is not exactly what fans really want to know about the new series reviving the 90s series.
Previously, it was announced that Gellar would be returning to her role as Buffy Summers and will be playing a mentor to the next generation of slayer, who will be played by Star Wars actress Ryan Kiera Armstong. The latest round of casting has added Severance star Sarah Bock as Gracie, Law & Order: SUV’s Ava Jean as Larkin, and Raven’s Home actor Faly Rakotohavana as Hugo, seemingly making up the new “Scooby Gang.”
The regular cast is rounded out by Jack Cutmore-Scott, who recently played Kelsey Grammer’s son in Frasier, as Mr. Burke – a possible replacement for Anthony Stewart Head’s Giles – and Daniel di Tomasso as a character called Abe. While...

Could this be the official last call for Frasier? While the sitcom reboot was canceled by Paramount+ after two seasons earlier this year, series star Kelsey Grammer announced plans to shop the series around to other networks and streamers to find a new home for season 3. However, that was months ago and there still isn't word on Frasier getting a second chance.
Most recently, TV Line shared that "there is still nothing to report" after over six months and counting since Frasier got the boot from Paramount+. To make the chances of the revival's revival even worse, the sitcom's stars are starting to move on, with one of them landing a major role in the potential Buffy the Vampire Slayer reboot series that's in the works at Hulu.

Since then, teenage actress Ryan Kiera Armstrong (Firestarter) has been cast as a new slayer (an introverted high school student named Nova), and today, Deadline reports that five actors have been cast in series regular roles! The class at Sunnydale High — or rather a version like it — has been named today, as the first roll-out of names added to the upcoming Buffy the Vampire Slayer series has officially dropped. Joining the previously announced chosen one, Ryan Kiera Armstrong, who will hold the title of slayer in the revamp, is a lineup of talent that includes Sarah Bock (Severance), Faly Rakotohavana (Unprisoned), Daniel Di Tomasso (CSI: Vegas), Jack Cutmore-Scott (Frasier), and Ava Jean (Law & Order: Svu). Should the pilot that’s headed for Hulu stick the landing (and we sure hope it does), audiences should prepare to see plenty of these faces as series regulars alongside Armstrong and the Og slayer, Sarah Michelle Gellar, who reprises her role as Buffy Summers.

“Severance” stars reunited to lip sync to the viral parody hit of their own theme song. Apple TV posted the video to their social platforms Wednesday, as the leading cast of the hit series called each other “hot.”

Your outie enjoys gobbling up as much of "Severance" as they can possibly get, to paraphrase a certain Lumon wellness counselor. Exactly how much, however, remains open for discussion. Season 2 came to a heart-stopping close just a few months ago, leaving viewers everywhere bursting with questions. Chief among them: When the heck can we expect more of the hit Apple TV+ original series, how much longer will it go on for, and is the show's creative team planning on turning this idiosyncratic story about work/life balance into a full-fledged franchise in its own right? We already know that season 3 has been officially confirmed and that it will come around far more quickly than the widely-publicized gap of three years between the first and second installments. Otherwise, creator Dan Erickson and executive producer/director Ben Stiller have stayed mum on most other details.

The stars of the hit sci-fi thriller Severance reconvened Saturday night for a hilarious grilling by Conan O’Brien.
The Q&a, at Apple TV+’s FYC space at the Hollywood Athletic Club, started with a few mishaps, including a missing chair for O’Brien and a shortage of microphones, which left Ben Stiller, the show's executive producer and primary director, without an amplification device. “Really? If the Season 2 finale of Severance had you seeing red, that's exactly what the producers intended.
The bold new color palette — which was introduced so memorably in the final frame of the episode — was just one of the burning questions discussed in a standing room only Q&a on Saturday with the Apple TV+ series' creative team at the Aero Theater in Santa Monica, following a screening of the Season 2 finale. The panel included executive producer and director Ben Stiller; creator, executive producer, and writer Dan Erickson; executive producer and actor Adam Scott; executive producer and actor Patricia Arquette; and actors Britt Lower, Tramell Tillman, Zach Cherry, Dichen Lachman, Gwendoline Christie, Ólafur Darri Ólafsson, Jen Tullock, Michael Chernus, and Sarah Bock.
The event capped off American Cinematheque's Severance week, which also featured screenings of films starring the cast, including Zoolander (Stiller), Step Brothers (Scott), True Romance (Arquette), Barton Fink...

Coming just hours after the show’s Season 2 finale shook fans, the “Severance” PaleyFest panel rocked the Dolby Theatre by unleashing a live marching band number — recreating a memorable moment from the episode.
Tramell Tillman, who plays Mr. Milchick, led a marching band through the Dolby Theatre. Prior to the sudden performance, Tillman had been the only one out of the cast and creative team to not show up on stage when his name was called. Just as the panel was getting started — and after Stiller explained that the actor “goes off the grid” at times — Tillman made his entrance with the band.
The Season 2 finale, which was released the day prior to the panel, involves Mr. Milchick acting as a drum major during an elaborate marching band sequence.

This article contains spoilers for "Severance" season 2 episode 10, "Cold Harbor"
From innies and outies to characters who are entirely unsevered (as far as we know), you can count on nearly every "Severance" character to face untold existential hurdles that few mere mortals are equipped to comprehend, let alone handle. Unless a character is armed with the ironclad self-obsession of Ricken Hale (Michael Chernus) or the megalomaniac devotion of Jame Eagan (Michael Siberry), the world Lumon Industries created seems custom designed to grind a person down.
The company, on the other hand, is built to endure. Over two seasons of "Severance," nothing the protagonists have managed to do has really swayed Lumon in any significant way beyond tiny inconveniences, minor PR crises, and the occasional personnel change ... until now.
The "Severance" season 2 finale, titled "Cold Harbor," bucks the trend of Lumon invulnerability in a massive and potentially irreparable way. The episode...
