Derek Reginald
- Actor
Derek Reginald is a versatile and multi-lingual American actor and athlete. Hailing from South Jersey outside of Philadelphia, he has always been a storyteller with a sense of wonder and adventure. After university, he traveled to Europe and Africa as a volunteer basketball coach to run clinics for youth and educators. While in Morocco, he was recruited both to teach at a local school and to play professionally. Despite serving as a chaperone for a short summer film course his first year there, it was not until over ten years later when what at the time seemed like a chance encounter in Casablanca redirected his passion for storytelling and set him on an acting journey that is perhaps more intriguing than the characters he portrays with his grounded, natural approach.
Debuting as a co-star on Showtime's "Homeland," he also portrayed a National Security Attorney in "Ghosts of Beirut" and was featured in a global ad for Land Rover Defender. Recent projects include "Acts of the Apostles," "Jesus Crown of Thorns," and the Dutch "Mocro Maffia" series in addition to lead and supporting roles in two Spanish and Franco-Italian short films, respectively, destined for festivals. He is also set to appear as CIA Analyst Jones on the highly anticipated British series "Atomic Bazaar," Interpol Agent Dossey on the Moroccan "Kawan series," and as a Journalist in the Franco-Belgian feature "L'Enfant du Désert."
With each new role, Derek continues to blend his faith, passion, and cross-cultural life experiences to tell stories that resonate with the viewers. Whether on screen or off, Derek's journey is a testament to the power of faith and the pursuit of excellence.
