Catherine Tate's Nan Taylor has returned as Holby City's worst ever patient in a Children in Need sketch.

The actress is seen being rushed to the fictional hospital with her grandson Jamie, played by Gavin & Stacey's Matthew Horne. Watch below:

Nan continues to act the difficult patient and causes havoc, as part of the BBC's annual charity fundraiser.

Holby City regulars Chrissie Williams (Tina Hobley) and Chantelle Lane (Lauren Drummond) look after Nan, but she is left unimpressed with Chantelle's service.

The soap's Elliot Hope (Paul Bradley) and Ric Griffin (Hugh Quarshie) also feature in the sketch.

A preview clip of a special Holby City sketch for Children in Need 2013 has been released.

Nan's Holby visit will air as part of the Children in Need 2013 appeal show, which broadcasts tonight (November 15) from 7.30pm on BBC One.

Catherine Tate has filmed a special Holby City comedy sketch for Children in Need 2013.

The actress has reprised her role as foul-mouthed Joannie 'Nan' Taylor, who will visit Holby as the patient from hell and cause havoc.

Holby City regulars Tina Hobley (Chrissie Williams), Paul Bradley (Elliot Hope), Hugh Quarshie (Ric Griffin) and Lauren Drummond (Chantelle Lane) all feature in the sketch.

Mathew Horne also appears as Nan's grandson Jamie.

Speaking of the sketch, Tate commented: "Thanks to everyone at Holby, I'm happy to be involved with Children in Need this year and wish you all the best for the night."

Tina Hobley added: "Over the years Holby City has faced flooding, riots and hostage situations - but nothing quite prepared us for the arrival of Nan."

Tate played the role of Nan on her self-titled BBC sketch show between 2004 and 2007. The character has also featured in various skits and one-off specials.

Stand-up comedian Andi Osho has revealed that she did her homework ahead of her Holby City guest stint. As announced last month, the 39-year-old will appear in three episodes of the BBC medical drama, portraying the role of brassy Barbara Alcock. Barbara is a mature medical student and single mother, who previously worked as a physiotherapist. Her storyline sees her learning from established regular Elliot Hope (Paul Bradley). Speaking on This Morning today (June 18), Osho explained that she made sure to do research before she started filming. Osho commented: "I just wanted to get it all right.
