She studied acting and English in Vancouver, New York and Los Angeles.

Her father is Mario and her mother Sara, and has 3 older brothers and sister: Mario, Jesús, and Fabiola.

Separated from her husband of 3 years Billy Rovzar. They later divorced. (febrero de 2011)

Studied classical ballet and piano, and considered a career in opera.

She trained as a telenevola actress at Mexico City's Centro de Educación Artística. She made her soap opera debut in 2001 as Lorena in El juego de la vida (2001).

She is known for her roles on such series as: Clase 406 (2002), Corazones al límite (2004), Aurora (2010) and Los elegidos (2019). Also a model, she was the champion of the Mexican El Rostro del Heraldo beauty pageant.

Played DEA agent in hugely successful TV series La Reina del Sur (2011) then went on to play, Camelia, a drug smuggling boss in Camelia La Texana (2014).
