100 Great Kung Fu Movies – Part 2 (79-60)
When it comes to making features like this one, i love the idea of coming up with my own personal “100 Great Kung Fu Movies” of all time. It is tough choosing just 100 because you know there are many more great Kung Fu movies that are not on the list.

I have decided that to make the list, a movie must have a few hand to hand moments during fight scenes in the movies chosen. If for example its mainly sword play with one fight scene hand to hand it won’t make the list. Its old school “style” Kung Fu movies, not modern day settings.

I understand everyone will have their own personal favorites and some may not agree with my list and that’s fine because it’s nice to have different opinions on this genre which keeps it fresh and alive when having good debates.

Anyway, thank you...

5 Awesome End Fight Scenes – Part 4
What we lack more and more these days are epic fight scenes in the final part of kung Fu/Martial Art movies. We have seen less and less one on one fight scenes in the final battle over the past 15-20 years, which is a shame but we have seen recently a few flicks bringing that winning formula back.

I want to name a few of my favorite end fight scenes and please feel free to comment below, your favorite fight scenes and maybe they will be added to the future features. I only add fight scenes which i can find the clips for on youtube, so some classics might not be added to the lists.

1.Drunken Master 2 (1994)

Cast:Jackie Chan, Lau Kar Leung, Ti Lung, Anita Mui, Ken Lo, Andy Lau, Mark Houghton

Fight Choreographer: Lau Kar Leung, Jackie Chan

2.Ong Bak 2 (2008)

Cast:Tony Jaa, Nirut Sirichanya, Sorapong Chatree,...

DVD Review: Largo Winch: The Burma Conspiracy
Rating: 3.5 out of 5 stars

Following the car chases, punch-ups, financial intrigue, and multiple language fun of 2008’s Largo Winch, Tomer Sisley returns as the eponymous hero in Largo Winch: the Burma Conspiracy with even more corporate shenanigans, double-crosses, high-octane action, discoveries about Largo’s deceased father Nerio, and clues about his own adopted past. It doesn’t particularly mess with the first film’s blueprint; an oddly satisfying mix of knowing Bondesque mechanics and business titans, but that’s all to the good. It’s just as fun, even with the addition of the hot-button country of disdain, Burma, and the diversion of Sharon Stone playing a cougar International Criminal Court investigator.

Taking a leaf out of Quantum of Solace’s opening we’re thrown straight into Largo’s latest international transaction via a high-speed car chase with machine gun toting baddies in tow, after he crosses the grotesque...

Film Review: ‘The Hangover Part II’ a Funny, Formulaic, Desperately Shocking Carbon Copy
Chicago – Business and creative people go together as well as fine wine at a burger joint. Riding on the heels of the monumentally profitable “The Hangover,” the brass win out over the artists in “The Hangover Part II”.

Rating: 3.0/5.0

Sequels usually fail because they’re just subpar as compared to their initial flash of genius. On the surface, “The Hangover Part II” appears to take chances by radically upping the ante on the film’s shock factor. But delving beneath the smoke and mirrors, the film actually is trying desperately not to let you down by riling you up even more.

Part two puts a new meaning to “Bangcock” when the film’s bachelor finds a woman who – if she was a Ms. Potato Head – was misassembled with one body part that makes you go hmmmm. Successful comedy, though, doesn’t come from having to drop more “F” bombs or falling down more stairs.

DVD Review: The King Maker
The King Maker

Stars: Gary Stretch, John Rhys-Davies, Cindy Burbridge | Written by Sean Casey | Directed by Lek Kitaparaporn

The King Maker takes place in the Ayutthaya Kingdom in Siam (now Thailand) in the sixteenth century and follows the adventures of Fernando (the excellently named Gary Stretch) , a Portuguese mercenary, who, after being shipwrecked, is captured by Arab slavers. After an attempt to escape, his freedom is bought by the beautiful Maria (Cindy Burbridge), a Portuguese living in Siam with her father, Philippe (John Rhys-Davies of Indiana Jones and Lord of the Rings fame), who is working in service to the king (Nirut Sirichanya). Fernando too finds himself fighting for the king and after proving himself to be a strong warrior, enlisted in the king’s personal guard. Soon, it becomes apparent that the king’s life is in danger; unbeknownst to Fernando, it is the queen (Yossavadee Hassadeevitchitt) behind the assassination attempts,...

Demon Warriors (aka Opapatika): DVD Review
Director: Thanakorn Pongsuwan. Review: Adam Wing. You know you’re in for a rough ride when a message flashes up at the start of the movie stating that suicide is a sin and the filmmakers don’t condone it. Then we see a man take his own life in gruesome fashion, there’s a good (?) reason for this but lets make one thing clear, director Thanakorn Pongsuwan likes his action bloody. A man learns a powerful lesson about the price of immortality in Demon Warriors, a new supernatural action thriller from Thailand. The Opapatikas are a special breed of people who have died only to be resurrected and given special powers: they are invincible in combat and gain unique superhuman skills in return for killing themselves. Sounds great on paper, but believe me when I tell you there is a flipside. Detective Techit (Putthipong Sriwat) is a police investigator who...
