‘Yellowjackets’: Melanie Lynskey’s killer turn in ‘Digestif’ is a dish best served with an Emmy
Image
That sound you hear is Melanie Lynskey getting Emmy buzz for her killer — and arguably series-best — turn in “Digestif,” the third episode of the second season of “Yellowjackets.”

In the episode, which aired on linear Showtime on April 9, Shauna (Lynskey) and Jeff (Warren Kole) get carjacked on their way to Colonial Williamsburg. When their attacker holds them at gunpoint and demands they hand over the keys to their minivan, Jeff is ready to do whatever it takes to defuse the situation. But Shauna has other intentions. She wrestles the gun away from the assailant, warns him not to get into the car and is seemingly just seconds away from shooting him. Before she can do anything, however, Jeff pulls her away, allowing the carjacker to drive off with their van.

'iZombie' Clips: Liv Goes Into Full-On Zombie Mode
Rose McIver
Rose McIver's Liv gets some zombie company in the first of two new clips from the Pilot episode of CW's iZombie, debuting March 17. David Anders plays Blaine, a fellow member of the undead, who explains to Liv that the man he was chasing in her vision tried to mug him, causing him to "rage out." Blaine also wants to know if she has a special term for what happens when she sees visions of dead people's lives, by eating their brains, which she calls "full-on zombie mode." Unfortunately for Blaine, Liv doesn't exactly take to his catch-phrase "raging out." The second clip shows Liv and her boss at the coroner's office with Dr. Ravi Chakrabarti (Rahul Kohli) discussing the possibility of a zombie outbreak, before Detective Clive Babineaux (Malcolm Goodwin) bursts in.

The series centers on Olivia "Liv" Moore, a rosy-cheeked, disciplined, over-achieving medical resident who had her life path completely mapped out.

Exclusive: Brightlight Pictures with the support of Telefilm Canada is lining up period epic White Slaves Of The Nootka.

The true story takes place in the 18th century as the Nootka people, a Pacific Coast First Nations community, kill all but two men aboard a British fur / arms trading ship.

Bruce Dowad brought the project to Brightlight head Shawn Williamson [pictured] and will direct. Josh Byer wrote the screenplay for White Slaves Of The Nootka and delivered the first draft this week. Williamson produces with Jak Osmond.

Williamson told ScreenDaily he had earmarked principal photography for spring 2014 on Vancouver Island.

Williamson’s producer credits include White Noise and he has served as executive producer on the Robert Redford thriller The Company You Keep as well as the upcoming fantasy horror Horns with Daniel Radcliffe.
