Lee Jung-jae at an event for Operación oculta (2016)
Lee Jung-jae on Squid Game’s Grueling Finale and Global Stakes
Lee Jung-jae at an event for Operación oculta (2016)
Lee Jung-jae says wearing the green tracksuit again “felt like being pulled back into hell,” as Netflix’s global thriller Squid Game enters its final stretch after a 27 June third-season launch that closed a two-year production marathon.

The actor explained that Seasons 2 and 3 were filmed back-to-back for ten months, including overnight shoots at Incheon Airport that triggered a public apology when passengers complained about noise and traffic disruption.

Filming wrapped in July 2024; the new six-episode run has occupied Netflix’s global Top 10 for six consecutive weeks, underscoring sustained interest four years after the series first shocked viewers.

Viewership data released by the streamer shows the second season’s 2024 bow pushed Squid Game to third on the all-time chart, a position Season 3 now threatens to overtake.

Creator Hwang Dong-hyuk expanded the cast with Yim Si-wan, Kang Ha-neul and Park Gyu-young alongside returning faces Lee Byung-hun and Wi Ha-jun, arguing that...

‘The Judge From Hell’ Episodes 9-10 Recap & Ending Explained: Is Han Da-On Dead?
Image
Since we’re getting closer to the end of The Judge From Hell, we finally get a new structure to the episodes. Until now, each episode focused on a case, and we saw Kang Bit-Na treat each criminal the way they treated their victims to make them confess their crimes and send them to hell. In episodes 9 & 10, we focus on serial killer J and Bit-Na’s plan to kill him. In these episodes, we learn a little bit more about the landlady of the villa and why she’s such a devout churchgoer. Additionally, Bael sends somebody else to mess with Bit-Na after learning that there’s a human interfering with her “evilness.” These two episodes were definitely fun, and the fight sequence at the end of episode 10 was really exciting, reminding us that this is not a melodrama but a fantasy thriller. I guess at the end of the...

‘The Judge From Hell’ Episodes 7-8 Recap & Ending Explained: Is Detective Kim Dead?
Image
Episodes 7 & 8 of The Judge From Hell focus on a more personalized story for Da-On and Bit-Na. Sure, there is a new case at hand, but we get some more information about the man who killed Da-On’s parents and how he became a part of Detective Kim So-Young’s family. This whole time Da-On has tried to be a moral compass for Bit-Na, but some new changes in the latest two episodes might have had him change his outlook completely. I suppose one could say Bit-Na, or rather Justitia, is a bad influence on Da-On, but the same could be said the other way around. Let me explain in just a bit. Without any further ado, let’s get into the latest two episodes of The Judge From Hell.

10 Best K-Dramas To Watch After Sweet Home
Image
K-dramas like "The Guest" offer a supernatural thriller after "Sweet Home" with unique horror elements. "The Uncanny Counter" presents a found family theme and great action for fans of "Sweet Home." "Gyeongseong Creature" explores historical and human themes like "Sweet Home," making it an ideal next watch.

After the release of Sweet Home's third and final season, there are plenty of other K-dramas to watch after the show. Based on the webtoon of the same name, Sweet Home focuses on the story of Cha Hyun-su (Song Kang) and the Green Home apartment complex residents, who become caught up in the middle of an outbreak that sees humans turn into monsters. However, Hyun-su's situation is complicated by Sweet Home's monster virus as he realizes he has the usual symptoms but can somehow control the monsterization process.

Sweet Home quickly became one of Netflix's best K-dramas after its initial...

‘Han Gong-Ju’ Blu-ray Review
Stars: Chun Woo-hee, In-seon Jeong, So-Young Kim, Yeong-ran Lee | Written and Directed by Lee Su-jin

When watching movies we tend to expect them to explain things to us, almost in the assumption that we should be comfortable in knowing exactly where the film is going and what it wants from us as the audience. Some films have the confidence to not work this way though, they ease us in to a situation where the unknown creates an element of suspense, until the inevitable sledge-hammer of emotions finally hits. This is the case with Korean movie Han Gong-Ju.

The best way to watch the film is to go in cold, knowing as little as possible as to what is to come. This is how we are introduced to Han Gong-Ju (Chun Woo-hee). We don’t know anything about her or her past, all we know is that her teacher is taking...
