WWE Unreal has unravelled new talking points amongst wrestling enthusiasts. One such development surfaced during the planning of the Women’s Royal Rumble 2025, when Ed Koskey, the Senior Vice President of Creative Writing in the WWE, suggested that Chelsea Green should win the women’s Royal Rumble this year. Fortunately, WWE creative, spearheaded by Triple H, did not pursue this idea altogether for the Rumble this year.
However, his suggestion for how the former Women’s United States Champion could win the Royal Rumble was nothing short of unconventional. He proposed that entrant #29 would cause a double elimination, leaving no one in the ring. As a result, entrant #30, Chelsea Green, would win the match by simply entering as the last remaining competitor.
The revelation unveiled the kind of brainstorming the creative heads of the company perform behind the scenes before Ple events. Additionally, other names were also discussed between the...

Bruce Prichard has replaced Eric Bischoff as executive director of Fox professional wrestling series “Friday Night SmackDown,” WWE said on Tuesday. Former WCW boss Bischoff has been let go from the company, a person with knowledge of his status told TheWrap. Bischoff served less than four months at the blue brand’s top post.
Prichard will report directly to WWE Chairman & CEO Vince McMahon. As executive director of “SmackDown,” Prichard will “oversee the creative development of ‘Friday Night SmackDown’ on Fox and ensure integration across all platforms and lines of business,” in WWE’s words.
Bischoff was promoted to executive director of “SmackDown,” then a USA Network series, in late June. At the same time, WWE upped Paul Heyman to the same role on Monday show “Raw.”

WWE is undergoing a major behind-the-scenes shakeup, with “Raw” head writer Ed Koskey replacing Ryan Ward as “SmackDown” lead writer under executive director Eric Bischoff, an individual with knowledge of the plans told TheWrap.
Jonathan Baeckstrom, the former lead writer of “205 Live,” is backfilling Koskey’s lofty “Raw” role under executive director Paul Heyman. The changes have been in the works for weeks and follow what the insider called a “botched” summer storyline involving a doppelgänger for bad buy Erick Rowan.
Ward will be taking a “short-term leave of absence,” the insider said, declining to specify the reason for his leave. Should he return to WWE from that leave, Ward will likely join the “home team” — or the company’s non-traveling group of writers. That would be considered a major step down for Ward, who reassumed his position as “SmackDown” head writer earlier this year.
