Welcome to this week’s review of Nxt, right here on Nerdly. Let’s get straight into it and see what went down on this week’s show!
Match #1: Trick Williams, Joe Hendry and Mike Santana vs. DarkState The following is courtesy of wwe.com:
An incredible Six-Man Tag Team Match between Tna World Champion Trick Williams, Joe Hendry and Mike Santana against DarkState was interrupted by Tna’s The System in chaotic fashion. Santana brought the fight right to DarkState, but his team’s momentum was lost when the cocky Williams showboated too much and was laid out by Osiris Griffin. DarkState dominated until Hendry tagged in as the former Tna World Champion cleaned house with his signature Fallaway Slams. Williams berated his teammates and the duo took him out and The System appeared to brawl with DarkState, leaving all of the Tna stars standing tall.

The reputation of Nxt has gone beyond being the development wing of the WWE; instead, it’s now largely seen as the stepping stone to becoming the next big thing in the company. Several WWE superstars have begun their professional wrestling journey with the gold and black brand, and many more are currently following in their footsteps.
Over the years, Nxt has grown and diversified its horizons to bring new superstars into its fold. What started as an experiment now has a separate fan base and is widely respected for the kind of storylines, intense matches, and heated rivalries it presents before the WWE universe.
Several Nxt superstars are poised to shine on the grand stage of the main rosters of the company and have established a dominant presence in the wrestling spectrum. In light of Nxt’s growing stature and the Nxt-centric Premium Live Event, the Great American Bash right around the corner,...

Match #1: Tna World Championship – Trick Williams def. Josh Briggs The following is courtesy of wwe.com:
The Tna World Title remains with Trick Williams, but he already has his hands full with his next potential challenge. Williams quickly learned that he was in for a fight as his power advantage was non-existent against the hulking Briggs, and the sneaky athleticism fooled the champion as the challenger countered a Powerbomb with a Chokeslam that nearly ended the bout. An incredible exchange of moves saw Briggs knock Williams to the mat, but his Moonsault missed the mark, allowing the champion to hit Trick Shot to win the match.
My Score: 3 out of 5 Match #2: Je’Von Evans def. Tavion Heights The following is courtesy of wwe.

Match #1: Nxt North American Championship – Ethan Page def. Sean Legacy The following is courtesy of wwe.com:
WWE Evolve’s Sean Legacy put up an incredible fight, but the North American Title remains with Ethan Page. The Nxt Universe was firmly behind Legacy and he had the champion in trouble with his high-flying moves and his swift kicks. Unfortunately for him, All Ego is a seasoned veteran and promptly countered a 450 splash into a Twisted Grin to retain his title. After the match, Ricky Saints appeared out of nowhere and brawled with Page around the arena.

Match #1: Sol Ruca def. Kelani Jordan The following is courtesy of wwe.com:
Sol Ruca dazzled once again as Nxt Women’s North American Champion and defeated her rival Kelani Jordan in another incredible match. With Zaria watching at ringside backing up Ruca, the two Superstars traded remarkably athletic moves and shared a moment of respect before locking up again. The new attitude of Jordan paid off as she grounded the high-flying Ruca and targeted the champion’s knee, increasing the concern of Zaria on the outside. Both Superstars looked for the winning blow, as Ruca hit an Avalanche X-Factor but Jordan’s attempt at an Avalanche Poison-...

Perez earned the first elimination, taking out The Meta-Girls after hitting a Pop Rox on Lash Legend. Perez shockingly bailed on the match, leaving Jade to be eliminated by Dolin and Paxley, who used a unique pinning combination.

Match #1: Women’s United States Championship – Chelsea Green def. Sol Ruca The following is courtesy of wwe.com:
The Women’s United States Championship is staying with Chelsea Green despite a hard-fought battle from Sol Ruca. The Nxt Superstar nearly pulled off the huge upset, but Green’s Secret Slaygents saved the day, forcing Zaria to take them both out. In the chaos, Green nailed an Unpretty-Her and won the bout, retaining her title in the process.

Match #1: Sol Ruca & Zaria def. Chelsea Green & Piper Niven The following is courtesy of wwe.com:
The young team of Sol Ruca and Zaria picked up the biggest win in their careers as they defeated Women’s United States Champion Chelsea Green and Piper Niven in tag team action. Green and Niven dominated early on, but Zaria and Ruca slowly but surely took control with the Australian powerhouse launching Niven onto Green with a huge F5. That move allowed Ruca to line up Green for an awe-inspiring Sol Snatcher that gave their team the win.

Match #1: Nxt North American Championship – Tony D’Angelo def. Ridge Holland The following is courtesy of wwe.com:
The Family still holds gold as Tony D’Angelo retained the Nxt North American Championship thanks to an unlikely assist from Izzi Dame. Shawn Spears, Brooks Jensen and Niko Vance hit the scene and brawled with Channing ‘Stacks’ Lorenzo and Luca Crusifino, destracting the official long enough for Dame to crack Holland with a huge Big Boot. The Don won the bout and in his confusion turned to Dame who told him that they “were even”.

Match #1: Fallon Henley def. Tiffany Stratton The following is courtesy of wwe.com:
Fallon Henley may have won the battle against Tiffany Stratton, but The Blonde Bombshell may be winning the war. Stratton looked like her usual dominant self showcasing her amazing blend of power and athleticism, but one roll-up from Henley allowed the country Superstar to score a major victory. However, after the match, an infuriated Stratton concentrated her frustrations on Henley and dumped trash on the helpless Superstar.
