- Attended Michigan State University in the 1960s, where he worked with a street theater group.

- As of 2017, has appeared in three film adaptations of John Grisham's novels: El Informe Pelícano (1993), El cliente (1994) and Tiempo de matar (1996). Two of those films were directed by Joel Schumacher and all three were Warner Bros. productions.
