Dominik Mysterio Explains How WWE Allows Him to Earn Sponsorship Money
Image
Dominik Mysterio is one of the most emphatic in-ring performers in the WWE. His growth in the company during the modern era and particularly under Triple H has been impressive. This is evident from his stature in the Judgment Day storyline, where he is an influential character in the faction, as other WWE superstars rally behind him.

The success story of Rey Mysterio’s son reached new heights when he became the Intercontinental Champion at WrestleMania 41, emerging victorious in the high-stakes fatal 4-way clash. Dominik has, since then, defended his title against Penta and will clash against Finn Balor at Money in the Bank 2025.

With his rise in the WWE, now imminent, the commercial aspect for Dirty Dom is also gaining prominence, as he clarifies how WWE enables him to earn sponsorship money.

Dave Bautista "never wanted to be just a movie star".The former WWE legend has swapped wrestling for Hollywood with roles in the likes of 'Guardians of the Galaxy', 'Knock at the Cabin' and 'The Killing Game', and he insisted his movie choices are inspired more by challenging himself as an actor than earning the most money. He told Sports Illustrated: "I never wanted to be just a movie star or chase a paycheque.“I wanted to prove I could stand on stage with the best actors in the world and hold my own. We Should Stop Hoping to See Edge Retire in WWE After This
Image
There are a few superstars who rewrite the bounds of physical punishment one can take in the squared circle. Back in WrestleMania 14, when Edge took on The Undertaker for the World Heavyweight title, that was a display of his extra-terrestrial endurance. The Rated-r Superstar was one of those hardcore legends who simply wouldn’t bend, no matter the challenge.

Edge’s legend in WWE is of the highest standards. His rivalries along the way hardened his stature in the company and his dominance as the World Heavyweight champion, while playing out one of the hated heels of all time, is simply a testimony to his greatness. However, things went downhill for the big man who popped up on the screens of Aew, following the footsteps of his childhood friend, Christian, after a fine re-run with WWE ever since his return.

Has Edge’s time at WWE come to an end?...

It’s a Miracle for How Long Edge Has Wrestled After Vince McMahon Himself Told Him to Retire

Adam Copeland, popularly known as Edge, is one of the most decorated wrestling stars of all time. He gained massive fame and recognition as a WWE superstar and became an 11-time World Champion in the company. However, at the prime of his career, Edge got some news that brought his world crashing down.

The Rated-r Superstar retained his World Heavyweight Championship at WrestleMania 27. Just two weeks later, he announced to the fans that he would be forced to retire from the company. Interestingly, it was former WWE Chairman Vince McMahon himself who told him to do so.

20 Unforgettable Moments That Changed WrestleMania Forever
Image
WrestleMania isn’t called the ‘Grandest Stage of ’Em All’ for nothing. Call it the Super Bowl, season finale, and a rock concert of pro wrestling all into one. Since that night at Madison Square Garden back in 1985, WrestleMania has been where stars are made, legends take their final bow, and fans witness moments that stay with us.

Ask any wrestling fan, and they’ll tell you, there’s something inherently different about a Mania night. Or two. In 2020, amidst the Covid pandemic, WWE decided to split WrestleMania into two nights. This change brought up another question. What if it had always been two nights? How would the stories change? Who would be where? That is, however, a conversation for another time.

While WrestleMania 41 was not the spiciest of manias we’ve come to see, Cody Rhodes held his ground against John Cena, Stone Cold Steve Austin popped the crowd with a surprise return,...

Vince McMahon Hated Tna But He Would Love What Randy Orton and Triple H Did to Joe Hendry at WrestleMania 41
Image
Vince McMahon didn’t like competition, and he absolutely hated promotions like Total Nonstop Action wrestling (Tna), which directly competed with WWE. With McMahon out of the picture, the new leadership under Triple H is trying to build connections with other promotions in an attempt to expand their influence. We saw the WWE-Aaa deal go down at WrestleMania 41.

On Night Two, Triple H joined forces with Tna when he brought his competitor’s biggest star for a match against Randy Orton. Tna World Champion Joe Hendry accepted Orton’s open challenge and entered the ring at Las Vegas for a match against him. His entrance was teased by WWE before the match, and fans were genuinely surprised at seeing Hendry on WWE’s big night.

Liv Morgan Is Infatuated With Dominik Mysterio but Other WWE Stars Think He Is a “Scumbag” Whom They Shouldn’t Date

They say “love is blind”, but in WWE, it also wears leather, hits 619s, and dips into a bucket of chicken tenders. Watching Dominik Mysterio win the Intercontinental Championship at WrestleMania 41 had us jaw-dropped, yet the real sizzle came not from the title but from the tension he’s stirred up outside the ring.

Well, he may have been Frog Splashing Finn Bálor into oblivion at Allegiant Stadium, but outside the ropes, it’s Liv Morgan—WWE’s sweetheart with a killer smile—who’s been turning heads for her very public infatuation with Mysterio.

Let’s be honest: Not everyone is cheering this romance. Some WWE peers—playfully, sure, but also pointedly—called Dominik a “scumbag”. But love him or loathe him, you can’t ignore him.

From tailoring personalized outfits to unique entrances, professional wrestlers would do everything to stand out from the sea of faces that leave a lasting impression on the viewers. While charisma and gimmicks are important, the wrestler’s finishing move defines if the crowd is going to love or hate them. From a simple Big Boot to the face to a Choke Slam, every WWE wrestler has their own visually varied finisher.

While most of them looked painful to take, it turns out that professional wrestlers know how to sell the moves. However, not all are meant for aesthetic satisfaction, as WWE veteran Maven spilled the beans on which wrestler’s in-ring move made him hate turning up for action, as it hurt like hell.

Barely feeling it: Randy Orton and The Undertaker’s finishers are only sellouts?

Only 4 WWE Legends Have More Matches Than Rey Mysterio (1500) and 2 Of Them Are Not in WWE Anymore
Image
Rey Mysterio is regarded as one of the greatest luchadors in professional wrestling. He took the legacy of his predecessors and touched greater heights than was unimaginable for the size and stature of a wrestler like him.

The Master of the 619 made his debut in WWE in 2002. He began his rise to the top, battling opponents like Eddie Guerrero, Randy Orton, and Big Show. Four years after his debut, Rey Mysterio captured the World Heavyweight Championship at WrestleMania 22 in memorable fashion.

Although he left the company in 2015 and explored outside promotions, it was in 2018 that he returned, and since then, he has been a strong part of the active roster. In doing so, Rey Mysterio has wrestled 1500 matches in WWE, which is a historic feat for any superstar in the company.

However, the former two-time WWE World Champion is still not at the top of that list.

With fast-paced moves and the sheer charisma to connect with wrestling fans, Rey Mysterio has transformed into an icon who has defied the norms that have traditionally defined wrestling. Despite being surrounded by giants, the Luchador has carved out a legacy in the squared circle, where his high-flying moves, Hurricanrana, and 619 have captivated the WWE Universe as he brings the fight to his opponents.

Throughout his long and illustrious career, the Ultimate Underdog has faced several popular wrestlers like The Great Khali, Batista, Eddie Guerrero, and so many more. To make the occasion more memorable, he wore some special outfits inspired by the Marvel Cinematic Universe.

However, it appears that Kevin Feige wasn’t a big fan of Mysterio’s heroic attires, as Marvel sent a number of cease and desist letters, forcing him to stop paying homage to the superheroes.
