- Emigrated from Aalborg, Denmark, to Manitoba, Canada, in 1901.
- Silent screen comedian with eight years theatrical experience before starting in films in 1922. Worked at Metro, Fox and FBO, partnering with comic Al Cooke at the latter. During the sound era was often seen in small supporting roles in B-westerns and serials.
- While working at F.B.O. during the 1920s he was often teamed with Al Cooke. They costarred together in the comedy series The Beauty Parlor, and Wisecrackers, and the features Her Father Said No and Leigionnaires In Paris.
- Bore a strong resemblance to actor Hoot Gibson.
