His play, "Lucky Sods," was performed at the Derby Playhouse in Derby, Derbyshire, England with Barry McGregor, Barbara Darnley, directed by Paul Rider.
Godber successfully auditioned for a part in Todo o nada (1997) but turned it down
to allow him more time to work on the filming of Up 'n' Under (1998). He
recommended Mark Addy in his place.
