He was the runner up to play the character The Doctor in Viaje a las estrellas: Voyager (1995), but the role went to Robert Picardo.

The role of Ned Ryerson in Hechizo del tiempo (1993) was originally written for Fuller by his good friend Harold Ramis.

He has often been noted for his resemblance to Los héroes de Hogan (1965) star Werner Klemperer. He even played Klemperer in the film Auto Focus (2002).
