Was a brilliant artist and made puppets as his hobby.

Died of a heart attack in March 1984, the same week he appeared in C4's "Winter Sunlight", also dying of a heart attack.

He appeared in two different adaptations of the 1843 novella "A Christmas Carol" by Charles Dickens: La alegre historia de Scrooge (1970) and A Christmas Carol (1984). He played the 1st Gentleman of Charity in the former and Pemberton in the latter.
