Daughter of duke Jean de La Rochefoucauld and his wife Edmée who was president of the Femina jury and member of the the Belgian royal academy, she married publisher Jean-Claude Fasquelle and they had a daughter Ariane Fasquelle. She was president of the French Pen club and winner of many literary prizes. She also wrote a book on the family history of the La Rochefoucauld.
