Was picked to succeed David Cassidy as Keith Partridge on La familia Partridge (1970). But this didn't work out because the series was canceled following Cassidy's departure.
One of the biggest compliments I've gotten over the years came from a fan who said that, if "Land of the Lost" was any indication, Kathy (Coleman) and I would have made excellent "Doctor Who" companions. Granted, it might well have been fun to modify some of our catchphrases from the former show, IE "Run, Holly! Run; there's a Dalek!"
