  • Was on vacation with her husband (a Jewish man) in Austria and Germany in 1936 and by chance happened to arrive in Berlin on the same day as the opening ceremony of the Olympic Games was being held, so they went to the arena to watch the sports celebration this sunny day - with Hitler. Finishing the trip, they went back to Sweden; not having a concept of grasping what that man later would be capable of.
  • Classmate with both Ingrid Bergman and Gunnar Björnstrand (famous leading actor in many Ingmar Bergman-films) at the Royal Dramatic Theatre's acting school in Stockholm, Sweden, where she trained 1932-1934.
  • Teacher in the performing arts at the old Royal Dramatic Theatre's acting school and at the new (since 1964) established National Theatre Academy (Statens scenskola/Teaterhögskolan) in Stockholm in the 1960s and also teacher in Theatre History at Stockholm University 1970-1977.
  • Author of the book "Om igen, herr Molander!" (Again please, Mr Molander!); a book about Sweden's various theatre schools and thoughts on drama education of actors from the 1800th Century to date.

  • Ingrid Luterkort's last theater appearance was as the messenger Panope in Jean Racine's classic play Fedra at Dramaten in the spring of 2006, she then became, at the age of 95, the oldest actor to have appeared in a play at Dramaten ( possibly also the oldest Swedish actor to have played at a professional theater scene in Sweden in a non-extra role).
  • Luterkort was married twice. From 1935 until 1952, she was married to Einar Luterkort. After that marriage ended in divorce, she married Bengt Segerstedt. This marriage lasted until 1986, when her husband died.
  • She was a Swedish actress and stage director, whose professional career spanned from the 1930s until 2010.
  • She made her debut at the Royal Dramatic Theatre in 1933.
  • Luterkort turned 100 years old and celebrated by reading Dagens Dikt on the radio ( she was the oldest reciter).
  • Ingrid Luterkort is considered one of Sweden's first female theater directors with her directorial debut in 1940 at the Dramatikerstudion in Stockholm and later in 1944-1945 and 1950-1953 at the city theater in Helsingborg .
