As Marilee Zdenek, she authored a series of non-fiction books, beginning in 1972 and initially published by McGraw-Hill. In 1995, she up her own publishing company, Two Roads Publishing.
- After graduating from Santa Monica High School in June 1951, she studied at UCLA and eventually majored in Theater Art. Later studied acting under Estelle Harmon in Hollywood.
- In 1983, she established Right-Brain Resources, Inc, based in Santa Barbara, California. Its declared mission to instruct "corporations, universities and individuals on the use of guided imagery and other right-brain techniques to enhance creative thinking for the arts, business, and personal enrichment.".
