Her role in the film noir b-movie Hot Cars (which adorns this site's profile pic) was cut down to a wide shot without dialogue.

In December 1962, she married Albert N. Zdenek, MD, a founder of Northridge Hospital Medical Center in Los Angeles. As Marilee Zdenek, she authored a series of non-fiction books, beginning in 1972 and initially published by McGraw-Hill. In 1995, she up her own publishing company, Two Roads Publishing.

After graduating from Santa Monica High School in June 1951, she studied at UCLA and eventually majored in Theater Art. Later studied acting under Estelle Harmon in Hollywood.

In 1983, she established Right-Brain Resources, Inc, based in Santa Barbara, California. Its declared mission to instruct "corporations, universities and individuals on the use of guided imagery and other right-brain techniques to enhance creative thinking for the arts, business, and personal enrichment.".

In mid-1954, wrote, narrated and produced her own radio show for children in Los Angeles.
