Latin lover Domingo grabbed the top of YouTube’s SNL charts in October and never let go. According to LateNighter, the ubiquitous Marcello Hernández/Ariana Grande sketch became the year’s most-watched within a week of its debut and stayed there for the rest of the season, ultimately piling up 19.1 million views so far.

The only other sketch to come close was Mike Myers’ first appearance as a rabid Elon Musk, with more than 17 million watches on YouTube. Both Domingo and Musk showed up in additional top 10 sketches from the season.

Predictably in an election year, political sketches dominated, with Trump-centric cold opens making up half of the top 10. And with all of the attention on Saturday Night Live’s 50th season, the show’s YouTube channel views mirrored the show’s climbing ratings, with eight sketches reaching the 10-million view mark. “Saturday Night Live” concluded its 50th season last month as the highest-rated entertainment series on broadcast television among Adults 18-49 and was also the most watched comedy across broadcast and cable for the sixth consecutive season, according to ratings data released by Nielsen on Monday.

Factoring in Live+7 across all platforms, the late night sketch show averaged 8.1 million viewers during the 2024-2025 television season, up +12% vs. Season 49 and marked the show’s best numbers since Season 47 (2021-2022).

“To see the show honor its legacy while still pushing boundaries was incredible. John Mulaney is opening up about turning down the hosting gig for the 2024 Oscars.

While appearing on Marc Maron’s Wtf podcast on Monday — the same episode in which Maron announced his podcast would be ending after 16 years — the comedian explained why he decided not to emcee the awards show.

“Well, I was very flattered. They came to me, must have been last summer. And I knew Jimmy Kimmel wasn’t gonna do it. And they offered it,” he began. “And it was honestly that I had a lot going on. And it’s months and months of work.”

The Hollywood Reporter had reported that the first outreach had gone to Kimmel, who’s already emceed the Academy Awards four times. But Kimmel ultimately said no, as he reportedly did hosting this year’s Emmy awards, which also aired on ABC.

Conan O’Brien went on to to host the 97th Academy Awards.

Netflix has revealed the release date and a teaser trailer for ‘Wake Up Dead Man: A Knives Out Mystery.’

The third instalment in the murder mystery franchise, which stars Daniel Craig in the role of celebrated Southern detective Benoit Blanc, will premiere on December 12 on Netflix.

The plot for the film so far has been kept a mystery, but the synopsis reads Benoit Blanc returns in his most dangerous case yet.

Written and directed by franchise creator Rian Johnson, the cast includes Kerry Washington, Josh Brolin, Cailee Spaeny, Josh O’Connor, Mila Kunis, Andrew Scott, Glenn Close, Jeremy Renner, Thomas Haden Church, Daryl McCormack, Annie Hamilton, Kerry Frances and Marcus Edward Bond. Brolin and O’Connor will both play priests, with Kunis portraying a police chief known as G. Scott.

Pete Davidson is making his horror debut with the latest thriller from “The Purge” creator James DeMonaco. After starring in killer comedy “Bodies Bodies Bodies,” Davidson fully leans into the genre with DeMonaco’s “The Home” which is set in a retirement community.

Davidson plays a rebellious twentysomething who is sentenced to community service at the seemingly-quiet nursing home. However, the residents on the fourth floor are strictly off-limits due to their “special care” procedures. One of his upcoming projects is The Home. The film comes from the creator of The Purge horror series, James DeMonaco, and Halloween producer Bill Block. Ahead of the film's release on July 25, Lionsgate and Roadside Attractions officially unveiled a tension-filled trailer.

The trailer starts with Pete Davidson's Max as he gets a job at a retirement home. He gets a warning to keep the place clean, and stay out of the fourth floor, as the patients need special attention. However, things get increasingly stranger as he discovers the patients seem to have dark secrets.

John Mulaney and his team of writers came together for a special screening and Q&a for the three-time Emmy winner’s Netflix show, Everybody’s Live With John Mulaney, as part of the streamer’s Fysee LA screening series in Hollywood.

Ahead of the sit-down chat — moderated by Fred Armisen at the Egyptian Theatre on Saturday night — Mulaney spoke with Gold Derby about the show’s open-format style, which he described as a cross between doing Netflix specials and being on a comedy tour, along with the “electric” level of talent who joined the process.

Comedian Pete Davidson and model Elsie Hewitt made their red carpet debut as a couple at the Endometriosis Foundation of America’s 13th Annual Blossom Ball in New York City on May 15. The event aims to raise awareness about endometriosis, a condition Hewitt has publicly discussed.

Hewitt, 29, turned heads in a shimmering, semi-sheer gold gown reminiscent of the iconic Marilyn Monroe dress worn by Kim Kardashian at the 2022 Met Gala. She complemented the look with a sleek bun, gold earrings, and strappy black heels. The deal reunites Kravitz with her Mad Max: Fury Road co-star Nicholas Hoult, who is also on board to star. Anna Sawai, Pete Davidson and Rhenzy Feliz are also on board.

The film, which Leitch is directing, will be released in theaters September 4, 2026.

Abby Flores (Morelos) is a nerdy and closed-off teenager looking to celebrate the only chance she might have to do the devil’s tango with resident hot guy Max (Matt Cornett). In order to build up her confidence, she hires a down-on-her-luck stripper, Santa Monica (Fineman), to teach her the ins and outs of sexual confidence.

The premise is fun and allows us to experience a new type of Superbad-style sex comedy for the first half. Abby and Santa Monica are obviously polar opposites, with their ridiculous dynamic providing laughs for the first bit of the film.

Audiences have countless associations with John Mulaney. He’s a virtuosic comic. He’s a sketch performer. He’s a Broadway star. He’s an Emmy-winning writer. He’s a talk show host. In a sense, he’s Spider-Pig. What we don’t talk about enough is how great Mulaney is as a TV comedy guest star, but now that he’s popped up in Season Two of Poker Face, we really should.

Exclusive: The Penguin breakout Rhenzy Feliz is the newest addition to the cast of How to Rob a Bank, director David Leitch’s bank heist actioner for Amazon MGM Studios, Imagine Entertainment, and 87North Productions.
