Made her acting debut playing "Desdemona" in "Othello" at the Oregon Shakespeare Festival in Ashland. She worked in many regional theatres, including the Long Wharf Theatre, the Berkshire Theatre Festival, the Eugene O'Neill Festival, Seattle Repertory Theatre, and the Repertory Theatre of New Orleans, and performed many roles on and off Broadway after moving to New York.

Currently serves as Artistic Director of The Haven Project, which brings the theatrical experience to underprivileged children in the Portland metro area. (2003)
