Michael went to high school with The Darkest Hour writer/director Dan Zachary.

Plays hockey several times a week and his favorite team is the Vancouver Canucks. His basement is made from the same boards and plexi-glass as the Canucks home arena and is painted to look like game 7 of the Stanley Cup finals.

Regularly attends anime conventions round the world for his voice-over and on-camera work.

Michael's first television role (millennium) was directed by Thomas J. Wright. Year's later his brother, actor Chad Coleman, booked his first role on the series The Cult, directed by Thomas J. Wright.

Founder of Story Institute, an accredited post-secondary school for acting and writing.

Had a pet hamster named Stan during the time he played Stan the hamster on Hamtaro. His real-life hamster looked like the hamster he played on TV.

Started voice-over acting after his roommate, Kirby Morrow (Dragonball Z's Goku) gave him a birthday present of creating a voice-over demo. Michael and Kirby have since worked on several animated projects together as a result.

Auditioned for the role of Happy on ABC's Once Upon a Time on the day he found out he and his wife were pregnant with their first child. The smile on his face was clearly doing all of the work that day.
