Even 35 years after its short-lived run on ABC, the late Steven Bochco's and William M. Finkelstein's "Cop Rock" is a tough sell. "Cop Rock" was about a group of Los Angeles police officers who traversed the city investigating crimes, arresting perps, and facing the every drama of living in the City of Angels. The cops were played by a talented ensemble that included Anne Bobby, Ronny Cox, James McDaniel, Paul McCrane, Vondie Curtis-Hall, Cch Pounder, and several others.

The odd angle was that "Cop Rock" was also a musical, featuring several new songs — some composed by Randy Newman — in every episode. The cop characters, as well as the criminals, would sing about their pained lives of crime/crimefighting, and occasionally dance. It's a weird idea. "Live-action musical cop series" is an elevator pitch that would be turned down everywhere.

Frank Gallagher may be a deplorable character, but others on Shameless did far worse things. Characters like Terry Milkovich and Debbie Gallagher committed horrific acts, making Frank seem less dubious. Fiona Gallagher's actions rival Frank's in terms of callousness and cruelty, proving she is more like him than she'd admit.

While Frank Gallagher kept viewers captivated by being an often deplorable human being, many of the most hated characters in Shameless did far worse. Widely considered the worst character on Shameless, Frank did some awful things during his arc on the show. However, William H. Macy's Frank Gallagher is far from the worst character in the show, with many others — including members of his own family — making him look far less dubious by comparison.

Frank did some unforgivable things, not limited to seducing and ruining Dottie's heart transplant for money and faking cancer in Carl for monetary gain.

Vallie Sue (Aj Michalka), a young teenager with big dreams, lives in a desolate, gritty little town, built on the site of an old drive-in movie theater. The townspeople and her own mother (Alicia Silverstone) barely pay attention to her, but she finds solace from a mystical cowboy and a former enemy. With their help, she finds the courage and strength to reach her potential without losing her heart. We have the exclusive poster for Angels in Stardust, which makes its DVD debut on March 25.

Angels in Stardust will be released March 25th, 2014 and stars Alicia Silverstone, Billy Burke, Amanda Michalka, Chandler Massey, Jeannetta Arnette, Michael Spears, Dennis Cockrum, Amelia Rose Blaire. The film is directed by William Robert Carey.

That's an odd title if I'd ever seen one "Jesus in Cowboy Boots," and probably why the film was retitled as Angels in Stardust. Newcomer William Robert Carey directs and writes the comedy drama which stars Alicia Silverstone, Billy Burke and Aj Michalka. The story takes place on the Texas/Oklahoma border and follows an imaginative teenage girl who lives in a mystical and dangerous community who is struggling to realize her full potential and escape the place she was born in. Also in the cast are Chandler Massey, Jeanetta Arnette, Michael Spears, Dennis Cockrum, Amelia Rose Blaire, Sierra Fisk and Adam Cagley.
