In a surprising move, Lyca Productions, one of the leading production houses in the Indian film industry, has announced that they have signed Jason Sanjay, the son of superstar Vijay, for his directorial debut. According to reports, The yet-to-be-titled film will be Lyca Productions’ first direct Kannada film and will star Nikhil Kumaraswamy, the grandson of former prime minister HD Deve Gowda, and Yukthi Tareja, a model-turned-actress.

Chennai, June 6: Tamil actor Vijay's 39th birthday falls on June 22, but members from his fan club have decided to celebrate it for a charitable cause at an event here Saturday.

"Members from his fan club will indulge in charitable activities such as distribution of computers, sewing machines and wheelchairs to the differently abled and other human welfare activities," said a statement.

Besides Vijay, his father S.A. Chandrasekhar will also be present at the event to distribute the items to the needy.
