Returned to Ashland University summer 2002 to perform in Lanford Wilson's play Talley's Folly with his wife Kim Maxwell-Brown, directed by his former professor Ric Goodwin.

Released his memoir "If You Build It...a book about Fathers, Fate, and Field of Dreams". Where he talks about how his small scene in Field of Dreams changed his life, and how hearing other people's stories about their fathers helped put into perspective his own father's death a month before filming the movie.

Appeared on the final six episodes of the game show "Tic-Tac-Dough" in May 1986.

His father passed away a month before he started filming his scene for "Field of Dreams".
