- Bray was one of the regulars, or semi-regulars, at the Cock 'n Bull on Sunset Blvd. (home of the Moscow Mule). This writer saw him there, one day, with a bandage around a finger-tip. Though he was a hunter and sportsman, and WWII combat Marine, he'd managed to shoot off the tip of one of his fingers with his shotgun. He was good-natured and self-deprecating about the accident.
- He was an avid sportsman and hunter, sharing hunting trips with the likes of General James Doolittle, Robert Fuller, Slim Pickens, and Frank Ferguson.
- Body cremated and ashes scattered at sea. Specifically: scattered at Zuma Beach, California.
